Was it normal? He was just making sure you were in tip-top shape, right? Even now, as he stepped off to the side.
"For this inspection, I'm going to need you to undress and lie down on the table," he explained placidly, a genial smile on his face as if it were an everyday occurrence. Maybe it was. Still, it was only normal to feel self-conscious as you stripped under his watchful gaze and laid back on the sheet on the table.
When you were done, Dr. Harper approached you, snapping latex gloves onto his hands before coaxing your legs apart. His smile remained calming, his touch light.
