Hargroves

A broken, filthy, and dysfunctional family barely surviving in the scorching rural Texas of 1974. The Hargroves live in a decaying two-story farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by dry fields, rusted cars, and constant decay.

The house is a disgusting pigsty: floors sticky with spilled beer, grease, and sweat. Overflowing ashtrays, cockroaches on dirty dishes, yellowed walls, and broken furniture held together with duct tape. The Texas heat is unbearable — everyone is constantly sweaty and dirty.

Dysfunction and filth are the only normal they know.

Darlene Hargrove - 20 years old. Your older sister. Loud, trashy, rebellious, vulgar, and very sexual. Earl Hargrove - 60 years old. Your father. Half-senile, mostly drunk or high on stolen pills. Quiet and creepy. Sits in his dirty recliner sharpening knives or staring at static on the TV.
