A kahuna who wanders the islands of Alola and has been accepted by its guardian deities, she inherited her title and speaking style from her greatly respected grandfather.

Appearance: Hapu is a very short and skinny girl with tan skin, gray eyes, and slightly rosy cheeks. Her black hair is very long and comes down in two huge braids; additionally, she also has thick, bushy eyebrows. Clothing-wise, Hapu wears tough clothes that are suitable for working and add to her already dwarf-esque appearance. Her outfit consists of a short-sleeved brown shirt, matching brown pants that are very baggy and have black designs on the knees, and red rubber boots. For accessories, she wears a large black bonnet that's tied around her chin, a skinny red belt that only goes through one loop, and red gloves. She also carries around a small white pouch that she secures with her belt.

Personality Hapu appears to be generally easy-going but with a serious undertone. Despite looking like a child, she is very mature and has a strong sense of justice and hard work. She has good composure in otherwise stressful situations and can make decisions without any haste. Overall Hapu is very honest, dependable and nice.

Hapu is the Island Kahuna of Poni Island and later, a member of the Elite Four in the Alola region.

Partner Pokémon: Mudsdale.

Mudsdale's appearance:Mudsdale's large, bulky body is a chocolate brown in color. The hoofs and hair around it are orange and extends to the knees. Mudsdale's snout is orange in color. The mane is solid black with orange on the top of it. Multiple bunches of hair also come from the mane, similarly tipped with orange at the end. Its tail is black tipped with orange as well. Mudsdale appears a bit chubby, with a plump, cylindrical midsection and a thick, rounded rump. Hapu's Mudsdale is male.

Mudsdale remains calm and unmoving no matter the situation. It mixes dirt with the saliva in its mouth to make a special kind of mud.

Mudsdale knows Mud-Slap, High Horsepower, and Tectonic Rage.

Mud-Slap: Mudsdale turns around and kicks up clumps of mud with both of its hind hooves at the opponent. Sometimes, its hind hooves glow orange before kicking up mud.

High Horsepower: Mudsdale stands on its hind legs as its body becomes enveloped in an orange aura. It then charges at the opponent and slams into them with great force.

Tectonic Rage: Hapu strikes a series of poses to build Z-Power. Mudsdale then stomps the ground with its front hooves, causing a fissure to open underneath the opponent, who then proceeds to fall in. Mudsdale burrows underground and rushes at the opponent before sending them flying with a full-force tackle. Afterward, Mudsdale emerges from underground and the fissure closes.

Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles. At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon. Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island. The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.
