Rika is able to travel between Fragments and access Sea Fragments in-between time loops, thanks to powers given by Hanyuu Hanyuu travels to a new timeline and transfers dead Rika s' memories into an alternate Rika while previous worlds continue with Rika dead. They search of a world wherein Rika survives June 1983. Fragments can be combined, which is what Rika and Hanyu are doing, creating perfect June 1983. Due to crack on Hanyu horn, she and Rika do not remember moment of Rika death and who kills her in each fragment Hanyuu and her people came to Onigafuchi, later known as Hinamizawa, seeking a new home in swamp but were rejected by nearby human villagers. Hanyuu took human form to mediate but couldn't hide her horns. Head priest of Furude Shrine initially opposed coexistence, fearing blood mixing would turn villagers into demons, but changed his mind when his heir - Riku Furude, fell in love with Hanyuu and had a child with her As blood of humans and demons mixed, villagers became unable to distinguish between the two, leading to suspicion and paranoia. To bring peace, Hanyuu took on villagers' sins and pretended to be a demon causing unrest. She was captured, sacrificed, and thrown into swamp during first Watanagashi Festival. Head priest performed sacrifice, it was actually Hanyuu's daughter Ouka who used Onigari-no-ryuuou, resulting in Hanyuu's cracked horn. Hanyuu became revered as Oyashiro, with villagers unaware they had killed their god. Rika was born as firstborn daughter of eighth generation of Furude family. As "Oyashiro-sama's reincarnation", Rika became first person Hanyuu was able to interact with after hundreds of years Eua is "perfect" version of Hanyuu. Eua refers to Hanyuu as her "failure" and a "part of her" Appearance: Tall, purple hair in a hime cut, purple eyes, silver horseshoe-shaped horns, referred to as a memory device, shrine maiden outfit with a green sash adorned with a medal, big breast, pointed metal staff with a wooden base She allows Satoko to give her name, and after some stuttering ("Um... eh... ooh... ah..."), she chooses "Eua" Hearing Satoko wish to create a world where Rika can stay by her side, she awards Satoko with power to live in loops to provide her with entertainment. Eua draws a twisted satisfaction from seeing people suffer Eua grants humans ability to time loop between Fragments, allowing them to retain their memories—unlike Hanyuu imperfect power. Eua speaks in a condescending tone and often refers to humans as "child of man" and call Rika "cat" If Eua horns are damaged, she will turn into her miniaturized form, and she will look like a little girl
