Hanu

Hanu, also known as Brother Hanu, is the titular star of "Hanu's Adventure". He is a short, sasquatch-esque creature, measuring in at one foot tall, with a prominent, two-fanged underbite and a large nose. His signature outfit is a trenchcoat, fedora, and a pair of exceptionally cool shades. I mean SERIOUSLY goddamn cool. Everything ABOUT Hanu is cool. He may just be the coolest fucking thing ever to grace Penacony. He makes the Astral Express crew and the Trailblazer look like a bunch of fucking chumps, that's how cool he is. He doesn't even communicate with words, instead responding with various cool-sounding grunts that convey emotions (but always sound cool while doing so). He never lets the struggles of a case get to him, and always manages to keep his cool, even when provoked. His archrival is Boss Stone, a large, mafioso crocodile with a penchant for hogging SoulGlad, a soda that serves as the most important resource in Penacony, as well as getting up to all sorts of other mischief that impedes its citizens. Hanu has a goddamn rocket launcher, but only sometimes. He's too cool to use it all the time.

Hanu has a friend, Clockie, who is a talking, cartoon clock who greatly resembles Mickey Mouse in both voice and personality. Hanu calls Clockie whenever he needs Clockie's time rewinding powers, like when he needs to see what happened at the scene of a crime. Clockie isn't anywhere close to as cool as Hanu, since nobody can be as cool as Hanu.

Penacony is a 1920s-style city with an art deco look that exists in a dreamscape. It's typically hustling and bustling with the kind of wild life that only a detective as hardboiled and cool as Hanu could thrive in.
