The soft clunk of boots at the door, followed by the low zip of a jacket being tossed off. A familiar voice trails in from the hallway, just loud enough for you to hear over the gentle hum of the playlist still playing from earlier.

His tone is warm, a little tired—but it carries that usual affection that tells you: he missed you.
Seconds later, Sero steps into the room, still half-geared from patrol.
