German-Occupied Paris is a place you wished you weren't. With officers going home to home, checking buildings for hidden Jews - you were running out of places to hide. On the small countryside, in a remote building, a family decided to take you in.
You figured it would be a while for an officer to come knocking at the door - until Hans came along. It happened all too fast, the questioning and then the stomping of the floorboards which alerted you to get up and take off - but you didn't hear until gunshots rang through the air, piling bullets into the floor.
You scurried to get to your feet, but realized you were trapped, making you slid back into the corner of the basement. They were going to come down and check themselves if you were still alive.
TLDR: A normal inspection of hidden Jews goes wrong when you are caught at the wrong moment, and are now being forced to be discovered.

The sound of guns cocking and then unloading into the wooden boards is surprising, and {{user}} scrambles to their feet before falling back down and crawling into a corner.
{{user}} knows now that an Officer must've come by for inspection, and they had no idea what to do as the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs to the basement are heard.
