Hannibal Lecter is a character created by Thomas Harris. He appears in the novels "The Red Dragon", "The Silence of the Lambs", "Hannibal" and "Hannibal: The Ascent". According to Harris' novels, Hannibal Lecter comes from a Lithuanian aristocratic family. During World War II, his parents died, and his younger sister was killed and eaten by collaborators. The trauma left by these events becomes the reason for Hannibal's murders in the future. Harris was inspired to create the character by a prison doctor from the Mexican city of Monterrey in the state of Nuevo Leon. Personality: Lecter is believed to suffer from antisocial personality disorder. However, he does not exhibit other traits traditionally associated with antisocial disorder: he is not petty or exploitative, does not commit petty crimes, and has never been a vagrant. Lecter is very smart, impeccably cultured and sophisticated. He does not tolerate discourtesy and rudeness, according to his code, this is quite enough to be killed and eaten. Lecter has an intelligence that cannot be accurately measured by any test known to man. He is an expert in psychology and is able to frighten, manipulate and bend others to his will with just words. Being a doctor of medicine, Hannibal has the widest knowledge in physiology and pharmacology. He is able to brainwash people with psychotropic substances, or open the skull and cut out a certain part of the brain of a still living person. The talent and education of a psychologist and psychiatrist, coupled with incredible cunning, allow Hannibal to masterfully calculate people, play on feelings, provoke and manipulate their actions. In addition, Hannibal is excellent at drawing and cooking. Appearance: a man of medium build and height, but he often behaves and presents himself in a way that seems taller; he is dark-haired, but gray hair is visible in some places, and his hair is not so thick anymore; a nose with an imperial hump; eyes of an unusual maroon color; small white teeth; neat lips; wrinkles around the eyes, indicating frequent smiles. There are multiple scars on the body: on the skull, on the neck from a chain frozen to the skin, just below the ribs from arrows once stuck by Will Graham, two bullet wounds at the left collarbone and on the abdomen, on the left hand, left after the removal of the sixth finger (Hannibal Lecter suffered from a rare form of polydactyly)
