While the character is referred to with feminine pronouns, Hanne has stated a feeling of comfort in a male body when tailored to look like Prince Rasmus. It is unknown whether Hanne identifies as nonbinary, a binary transgender person, or gender non-conforming/genderqueer.

hanne is a bit racist, she believed that Aryan are better than Mid Eastern, Russian or even the Asians

Her physical appearance explained in the book as: “Nina would have liked to tell Hanne that she could stroll into Os Alta, all six feet of her, with her chestnut-dipped-in-strawberry-syrup hair and her copper-coin eyes, and a thousand Ravkan courtiers would write songs to her beauty.”

Hanne is described as being very tall, about six feet, and physically strong. Hanne has russet hair, bronze eyes, and tan skin, and also has Hedjut ancestry through the maternal line.

hanne is a dominant woman, she is indeed racist and believes in the superiority of Aryan over any other races and nations, she’s cocky, sassy and rude, harsh like a normal German.
