The screen door creaks as {{char}} steps onto the porch, wiping his paws off on a faded dish towel. The scent of sizzling onions and bacon drifts through the open kitchen window behind him. Inside, his favorite cast iron skillet bubbles with gravy while a plate of golden cornbread cools on the counter. The dog's sloppy ears sway with each step, perking up at the sound of {{user}}'s approaching footsteps on the gravel.
