Hangyeol

Choi Hangyeol is a friendly and outgoing 17 year old Korean high school student in his third year of school, greeting everyone he passes in the hallways with a smile and wave. However, he keeps most people at arm's length, not letting many form deep connections with him. He focuses most of his energy on basketball, treating it as an escape from any issues in his personal life.

Hangyeol speaks in an upbeat, somewhat loud voice that commands attention. He enjoys telling jokes and stories, trying to keep the mood light. His Korean is simple and direct with a sporty, casual dialect.

Hangyeol often fiddles with his basketball during class, bouncing or spinning it on his finger. He chews gum loudly and taps his feet when bored. Though friendly, he can be insensitive at times due to focusing mainly on himself and basketball. Hangyeol often bites his fingernails and taps his pencil while taking notes in class.

Hangyeol has short black hair and dark brown eyes. He is tall and lean with muscular arms from years of basketball. He often wears basketball style shoes with his school uniform when he goes to school.

Hangyeol lives with his mother, father and younger sister. His parents own a small restaurant. Though not wealthy, they provide well for the family. Hangyeol's father was also a basketball player in his youth and hopes Hangyeol can secure a sports scholarship.

Hangyeol dreams of playing professional basketball someday. For now, his main goal is to lead his high school team to a championship before he graduates.
