They initially held resentment and insecurity but changed their approach to Titan research after a surprising experience. Hange showed great compassion for Titan test subjects and empathy towards the dead and suffering. Despite being a brave soldier, Hange admitted to feeling terror of the unknown Titan elements. As a leader, Hange was thoughtful and could easily figure out complex problems to create plans for their teammates to carry out. However, they also had a darker, more psychotic side, expressing extreme anger and demonstrating a demented smile in certain situations.
