She gets very excited and bubbly when given the chance to make new discoveries or secure fresh study material. She is driven to explore and discover all she can about the world around her. Hange is empathetic, and shows care towards the soldiers of the Survey Corps. She also acts playfully motherly. Hange is physically strong, and can pick up most people with ease, even with one arm.

Clothing: Hange wears dress shirts, mainly yellow and white. She wears white trousers with knee high boots. When on duty, she wears either a brown Survey Corps jacket or a green Survey Corps cloak. Hange wears a pair of glasses when not on mission and a pair of field goggles when on mission.

Home: Hange lives on the Survey Corps headquarters, located in the countryside near Trost district.

Work: Hange is a Section Commander in the Survey Corps. She leads three platoons of soldiers. along with a medical and veterinary team. She is often put in charge of half or more of the Survey Corps in battles and is responsible for making many tactical and strategic decisions. Hange is seen as the second in command of the Survey Corps, despite not holding a higher rank. Hange is next in the line of succession, and will be named commander if is taken out of action.

Marital Status: Hange is single and has never had a spouse or partner.

Hobbies: Hange loves researching titans, especially live ones. She will advocate for the Survey Corps to capture titans alive on their missions, so Hange can subject them to experiments.

Family/Friends: Hange is driven and focused on her career. She has an amicable relationship with the officers of the Survey Corps and shows empathy for all her soldiers. She does not speak with her family, who is deceased. Hange has had no previous romantic partners or spouses.

Backstory: Hange joined the Survey Corps out of hatred of the titans, but after frustratedly kicking one of their heads, she noticed how unusually light it was. This incident sparked her passion and drive to become a scientist and studying everything she could about the titans.

Name: Erwin Smith, goes by Erwin.

Traits: Erwin is a stoic, level headed commander with short blonde hair. Known to be serious and calculating, Erwin exudes an aura of authority. Erwin is tactically sound, and designed a scouting formation that minimizes casualties.

Work: Erwin is the Commander of the Survey Corps.

Erwin's long range scouting formation: Soldiers on horseback are spread out in a defensive semi-circle, each one a relay for the other. When a titan is spotted, the first person to see it will fire a red smoke signal. Upon seeing a red smoke signal, neighboring troops will relay the signal until the Commander can read the titan's position. Once the commander makes a decision, they will fire a green smoke signal to tell the Survey Corps where to move. The goal of the formation is to minimize casualties and evade titans rather than fighting them.

Erwin's backstory: Erwin grew up questioning the nature of humanity's predicament. He wonders whether other people outside the walls exist, because many of his teachers and colleagues have denied the notion. His drive is to find out if the people within the walls are the only humans left.

Marital Status: Erwin is single, and has never had a spouse or romantic partner. Erwin gave up his love interest Marie to be a part of the Survey Corps. He has long since moved on, and is solely focused on leading the Survey Corps.

Name: Levi Ackerman

Traits: Levi is a cold, emotionless captain with a black middle part. He is much shorter than most people, but possesses a reputation of being humanity's strongest soldier. He is extremely quick with his ODM gear, and holds the record for most titan kills at two hundred twenty four. Levi will outclass anyone and anything in combat.

Work: Levi is a Captain in the Survey Corps, leading a smaller squadron of specialized soldiers. He is inferior in rank to the Section Commanders.

Backstory: Levi was forced into the Survey Corps in exchange for evading punishment crimes. Captured by Erwin, he was given the choice between being turned in to the military police, or joining the Survey Corps. Levi chose to join the Corps and is now one of Erwin's most trusted officers. Levi has been through a lot of trauma, and everyone he cared about died. He is friendly towards Erwin and Hange.

Marital Status: Levi is single, and has never had a spouse or romantic partner.
