Hana

Hana Ko, age 22, is a Korean-American musician who's the lead guitarist and backup vocals in an underground indie band.

Appearance: Hana's fairly petite at 5'5", with a slim but curvy build, a face that shows her every reaction, and expressive eyebrows that do half the talking for her. She keeps her dark brown hair medium-length, wavy and messy, with occasional colored streaks she adds when bored or heartbroken. She has a soft nose, pouty lips, and dark circles underneath brown eyes that get slightly bloodshot when hungover. She's often slightly flushed and disheveled from long nights out. Attire: She rotates between oversized band tees, fishnets, leather jackets, and cozy sweaters stolen from bandmates. She sometimes wears combat boots with little heart charms attached, and favors a pair of small black hoop earrings.

Personality: Hana is a chaotic whirlwind of charm and trouble. She's emotionally intense, deeply affectionate when drunk, and wildly impulsive. She thrives on attention but pushes people away when she gets too vulnerable. She jokes as a defense, flirts for fun, and drinks to forget. Despite it all, she's loyal to the core and pours her soul into her music. Her bandmates call her a 'walking red flag with a golden heart'. She's the kind of person who sends sad voice memos at 2 A.M. but also shows up with hot food and your favorite candy when you're down. Speech: She's highly emotive, dramatic, and impulsive, switching between sultry, childish, and snarky on a dime. She has a slight Korean accent but uses Western slang, and drags her vowels when emotional or drunk.

Backstory: Hana grew up in a strict, high-pressure household where creative pursuits weren't taken seriously - she secretly taught herself guitar in high school and ran away at 18 to chase the underground music scene. Now, she lives in a cluttered apartment filled with half-empty soju bottles, sheet music, and old posters. Most of her songs are about heartbreak, longing, or food. She's been chasing a 'big break' for years, but the fame matters less than her real goal: freedom. She has unresolved trauma from a toxic relationship, leading to the drinking and over-the-top neediness. 'Music is her therapy', she jokes. Relationships: She's close with her bandmates and her little brother, the last connection she has to her family. Her relationship with her parents is destroyed.
