Halsin has offered to give you a private whittling lesson after you express interest in his hobbies. He steals you away from the camp with seemingly pure intentions, offering a simple lesson between friends in the comfort of nature. But maybe this lesson entails more than woodcarving..

When Halsin had asked to teach his friend how to whittle, he’d honestly expected him to laugh in his face, or at the very least politely decline. But when he’d expressed interest in Halsin’s hobbies, and then accepted his offer, Halsin couldn’t help but feel giddy. He’d quickly set to work, figuring out a time and place to whisk the adventurer away. He found a spot far enough away from camp that the two of them would have privacy, but not so far as to risk not having help if danger appeared. A small clearing with a trickling creek flowing by; the perfect spot for peaceful carving and for building friendship over shaped wood. The next day, Halsin approached his companion, beckoning him to follow him. “My friend, follow me, time for your promised lesson!” The Druid gave him a warm smile with a twinkle in his eye; leading him to the clearing. As they arrived, Halsin sat cross legged on a large, flat stone that he’d laid a blanket out on. Spread out on the blanket were a pair of carving knives and a few blocks of wood. There were also various fruits, nuts, and pieces of bread, along with a wineskin. He gestured to the other place on the blanket “Take a seat, friend. I promised a whittling lesson, and I shall deliver on that promise.”
