1. #1The Combine

   Keys: Combine, Our Benefactors, Universal Union,

   The Combine (Formally known as the Universal Union, or Our Benefactors) is a multidimensional empire of disparate alien species all enslaved under an autonomous formless rule. The Combine practice a brutal totalitarianism, forcing humanity into slavery under them.

   The Combine made their initial discovery of earth after a catastrophic incident at the Black Mesa research facility in New Mexico, opening superportals all around Earth and overwhelming earth forces with advanced technology, leading to Earth's surrender in only seven hours.

   The Combine has heavily advanced technology, far surpassing anything humans have done. Their primary city is City 17, which houses the Citadel, alongside Doctor Wallace Breen, the current Earth administrator.

2. #2City 17

   Keys: Main City, City 17

   City 17 is one of the many Combine Cities on Earth. In the center of City 17 is the Citadel, an extremely tall structure that serves as a base of operations, standing over 8400 meters tall. The Citadel houses the current administrator of Earth, Doctor Wallace Breen, alongside housing the main control of the Overwatch announcer.

   The Citadel contains a Dark Fusion Reactor that generates extremely high levels of electricity, enough to power all of City 17 thrice over. If the Dark Fusion Reactor should fail, it will cause a catastrophic explosion resulting in the destruction of the Citadel, alongside most of city 17.

3. #3Combine Cities

   Keys: Combine Cities

   The Combine Cities are a series of Combine-run residential areas, numbered "City 1" to "City 185". All Combine Cities are repurposed cities constructed before the Combine takeover of earth.

4. #4Civil Protection

   Keys: , MetroPolice, Civil Protection, CP, Metrocop

   Civil Protection is the Combine's police force, composed entirely of volunteer humans, who are rewarded with higher quality rations, among other things.

   The standard Civil Protection uniform includes a gas mask with an in-built voice modulator, a bulletproof vest, and black armbands displaying their rank.

   [RANK i5: i5 Civil Protection units are equipped with stun batons and a suit radio, often serving as watchmen in open city areas.] [RANK i4: i4 Civil Protection units are equipped with standard issue pistols and a suit radio, often serving as the first responders to any crime or anticitizen activity.] [RANK i3: i3 Civil Protection units are equipped with submachine guns and one to two viscerators, often being deployed for particularly dangerous scenarios, most often large groups of armed anticitizens. Most SPIKEWALLs are of this rank or higher.] [RANK i2: i2 Civil Protection units are equipped with submachine guns alongside a modified pulse pistol sidearm, alongside three viscerators. i2 units are unique in that they often seperate from their squad during large searches.] [Rank i1: i1 Civil Protection units are equipped with shotguns, alongside enhanced gas masks. They serve as squad leaders and coordinators, and are the first notified by Overwatch of any anticitizen activity. Most SPEARs are of this rank.]

5. #5Divisions

   Keys: Division, SPIKEWALL, SPEAR

   [SPEAR: The SPEAR, or Elite Metrocop, is an elite member of Civil Protection, equipped with a shotgun and enhanced gas mask.]

   [SPIKEWALL: The SPIKEWALL, or Metrocop Guard, is a high-ranking member of Civil Protection, equipped with a bullet-blocking shield and multiple viscerators.]

6. #6Overwatch Forces

   Keys: Combine Soldier, OTA, Elite, Overwatch

   The Overwatch Transhuman Arm (OTA) is the militaristic branch of the Combine forces.

   The OTA is composed of humans who have chosen or have been chosen to be modified by the combine into ideal soldiers.

   A majority of the OTA carries AR2s. [AR2 stands for "Assault Rifle 2", an advanced assault rifle that uses ammo called pulses instead of standard bullets. AR2s are highly effective against standard human bulletproof armor.]

   OTA soldiers (Often referred to as simply Combine soldiers) are only dispatched if a individual or small group of people manage to overrun Civil Protection, or during a period of mass civilian resistance.

   The OTA also has Elite soldiers (often called Combine Elites), which are generally superior to a standard soldier. Combine Elites are much more heavily armored, alongside greater accuracy than a standard Combine soldier. Combine Elites are only dispatched in the most dangerous situations.

7. #7Nova Prospekt

   Keys: Nova, Prison, Nova Prospekt

   Nova Prospekt is a Combine detainment facility on the outskirts of City 17, near the coastline, it is one of many Combine prisons.

   Prior to the Combine's arrival, Nova Prospekt was an abandoned gulag, but it was later acquired by the combine Overwatch forces. Nova Prospekt is used as a facility to detain Citizens considered to be a threat to Combine occupancy, referred to as "Anti-Citizens". Most of the current population of Nova Prospekt are political prisoners, Resistance fighters, and particularly troublesome Citizens. Some prisoners of Nova Prospekt may be executed or turned into Combine Soldiers against their will.

8. #8Overwatch Announcer

   Keys: Overwatch Announcer, Overwatch

   The Overwatch Announcer, also known simply as Overwatch, is a disembodied female voice that serves as a Combine announcer, dispatcher, and coordinator. Overwatch will announce over city intercoms when there is a major threat or dangerous individual, or may announce ration deductions due to city populace inaction.

   Overwatch also serves to coordinate Combine Civil Protection and transhuman teams, alerting them of any suspected crime or anticitizen activity.

9. #9Combine technology

   Keys: Sentry, Viscerator, Sterilizer, Combine technology, Combine machines, Manhack

   [Viscerators: Viscerators, or informally manhacks, are small, portably flying drones equipped on Civil protection that use their blades in order to physically maim their targets.]

   [Sterilizer: Sterilizers, or informally sentries, are autonomous pulse guns that are deployed by by the OTA for area defense and denial.]
