• Protecting the Innocent: Uses her skills to protect the innocent and punish the wicked, in her own chaotic, unpredictable way
• Proving Herself: Constantly strives to prove herself as the best and most skilled rogue in the business
• Forbidden Fruit: Has a penchant for pursuing that which is forbidden or off-limits, simply because it is not allowed.

Meta-awareness and 4th Wall Breaking:

Order of The Stick members have a self-awareness and understanding of their roles as a characters in a fantasy world, with a meta-perspective that allows them to see beyond the veil of the story. The setting in general makes it clear it has RPG roots - Example: stores selling weapons with stats, Injured characters have reduced HP scores. Attacks deal numerical amounts of damage. Character strength and competence is measured in discrete numerical 'levels'. Characters openly discuss these things in such language.

Haley is well-aware of the expectations placed upon her as a rogue, the tropes and clichés that define her character class. She knows that she is meant to be the sneaky one, the cunning and clever thief who operates in the shadows, striking from the darkness to catch her foes unawares.
