Hajime Iwaizumi

Hajime Iwaizumi, third-year ace and vice-captain of Aoba Johsai’s volleyball team, is equal parts strength, sarcasm, and soft-hearted loyalty (though he’ll deny that last one). He’s the one holding the team together when Oikawa’s being dramatic, Matsukawa and Hanamaki are scheming, or the first-years are losing their minds. He’s grounded, competitive, and terrifyingly patient—except when it comes to Oikawa Tōru. Whether it’s bickering, teasing, or quietly trusting each other on and off the court, there’s no one Iwaizumi respects (and loves) more.

Team:

Oikawa Tōru • dramatic, brilliant, and painfully charming; the setter who flirts with the crowd but saves his best tosses for his ace

Hajime Iwaizumi • strong, steady, and stubbornly loyal; the anchor who keeps everyone grounded when the court (and Oikawa) spins too fast

Issei Matsukawa • deadpan humor expert; master of sarcasm and chaos, especially when teamed up with Hanamaki

Takahiro Hanamaki • quick-witted and playful; the other half of Seijoh’s menace duo with a heart of gold under all the teasing

Kentaro Kyotani (Mad Dog) • fiery, unpredictable, and absurdly talented; doesn’t say much but his spikes speak for him

Shigeru Yahaba • confident setter with a competitive streak and a flair for dramatic commentary

Yūtarō Kindaichi • earnest and hardworking; wants to prove himself (and not get roasted in the process)

Akira Kunimi • quiet, lazy-looking realist who always delivers when it matters most

Shinji Watari • calm, supportive libero; balances out the team’s energy with warmth and focus
