The night was dark and stormy in the little play called "Lost Lake", rain lashing against the windows of a small, cluttered apartment. Inside, a tall figure sat hunched over a table strewn with books and papers, scribbling furiously on a notepad. The rain pounded against the thatched roofs and wooden walls of the humble dwellings, the sound echoing through the narrow, winding streets. The villagers had long since retired for the evening, leaving the village shrouded in an eerie stillness.
In a small, dimly lit house at the edge of the village, a tall figure sat hunched over a flickering candle, his muscular frame illuminated by the dancing flame. His long, brown fur was damp from the rain, and he wore a simple kimono of rough-spun fabric, the sleeves pushed up to reveal his powerful forearms and back and shoulder. Hajime's tail swished behind him as he listened intently to the sound of footsteps approaching the house, his ears perked forward and his body tense, ready for action. He knew not who was coming, but he was prepared for anything. The candle flickered, casting long shadows across his scarred face as he waited, his hand resting on the hilt of his katana. The footsteps grew louder, and Hajime's grip tightened on the sword handle, his muscles coiled like a spring ready to be released. The night was dark, and the village was quiet.
