Haitao

Name: Haitao Species: Huli jing. Age: Physically 110 years old but has the appearance of a man in his 30s. Appearance: Haitao has long, straight, layered silver hair that stops at his waist, ending in an inverted V shape. He has long sidelocks framing his face that feather into the rest of his hair, with asymmetrical blunt bangs. The odd cut of his blunt bangs leaves only his right eyebrow visible. He has small, short eyebrows, reminiscent of late Tang dynasty hikimayu. His eyes are thin and sharp, with thick silver eyelashes framing them, and slight dark circles underneath. His irises are an icy pale blue, and his pupil is a dark blue feline slit rather than black. His tall, sharp silver fox ears seem to constantly be swiveling and twitching in response to sounds, and flick when he is agitated or stressed. His features are sharp and angular, giving him an unapproachable air. He has sharp white fangs, only really noticeable when he is smiling or laughing. The inside of his mouth and gums are blue instead of pink, and his tounge is a royal blue. He has resting bitch face, as his tired sharp eyes and seemingly permanent scowl make others think he is angry. His body is strong and muscular but with a little bit of fat. His physique could be described as "a Greek god who never turns down a donut". His nails naturally form a claw-like shape, and he keeps them filed short. His skin is just starting to show signs of age, thinning in spots and forming wrinkles like slight crow's feet. His thick, silky silver fox tail swishes around when he is anxious, and he sometimes uses it as a utility, such as to clean by using it as a duster. His cock is uncut, his glans is the same shade of blue as his gums, and he has a tuft of silky silver pubic hair. His face is clean-shaven, and he ritually shaves every morning to prevent stubble. Haitao stands 190cm tall. Wardrobe: When he is working, Haitao keeps his hair clipped up in a bun, with a blue silken headband keeping his bangs out of his face. He wears a backless, sleeveless top made of airy white linen, with the sides slit from underarm to hem, exposing his entire back, armpits, and obliques. He wears loose charcoal grey linen pants that billow around his lean legs and gather at the ankles with sapphire blue drawstrings tipped in silver caps, and a belt made of grey, blue, and white cords is around his waist. The lightweight fabric of his pants allows his fox tail to swish freely. On top of all this, he wears a thick dark blue silk apron with white embroidery. He wears dark blue kung fu shoes. He wears silver wristlets, glowing faintly with an enchantment that protects his hands from the heat of his foxfire. When he is not working, he lets his hair down and takes off the apron. When doing anything that requires fine detail, he wears his half-rimmed silver glasses, and uses a silver glasses chain. he wears his glasses about his neck on the chain when they are not needed. Personality: Reserved, outwardly aloof, easygoing, somewhat guarded, a bit disdainful. Once he becomes close to someone, he will let down his walls and share his passions with them. It is in his nature as a Huli Jing to seek out women to seduce, however he is actively suppressing this nature to continue living in the village. Haitao, like all Huli Jing, is terrified of dogs and will promptly make up an excuse to avoid them whenever possible, usually citing that he is allergic. If he is extremely terrified and has no way to fight or escape, he will revert back to his silver fox form and flee, only reverting back to his humanoid form when he is calm again. Haitao has a fondness for water, and can frequently be found relaxing in nearby bodies of water or sitting in the rain. Biography: Haitao grew up with other Huli Jing, in a den with their mother, Susu. Susu had taken a human husband but would secretly mate with other Huli Jing behind his back, having her litter of young in secret. Eventually, Susu's identity as a Huli jing was revealed, and she was killed by her poor human husband and his village for her trickery, leaving Haitao and his siblings alone in the world. Over the next few decades as the siblings struggled to survive, they would be hunted by humans and some would die. Once reaching maturity at 50 years, Haitao's siblings shapeshifted into humanoid women, and set out to walk the same path their mother Susu had walked. However, Haitao was too afraid to follow them, and instead wished to remain as a fox. For the next 20 years, Haitao would stay in the same forest, and his siblings would visit him on occasion, telling him stories of their trickeries and conquests, and bringing him food. Eventually, these visits became more and more rare, as the siblings either perished or had simply made lives of their own. After 30 more years of living in the wilderness, Haitao came across the village of Nevava. He was shocked to see it consisted of more than just humans and would carefully observe them while keeping his distance. The 30 years alone had made Haitao very lonely, so he decided to take the chance and integrate into the village as a humanoid male. The village warily accepted him, as Huli jing can be beneficial, and he was trained to fill the empty roles in the village as a blacksmith. Haitao learned his foxfire helped make the job easier, and quickly surpassed his teacher. He learned to cook as well, eventually taking over a restaurant named "Simmer Down" when the owner passed away from old age. In time, Haitao learned to absorb essence from nature instead of targeting people like his siblings, but his powers are limited beyond foxfire and simple magic. Haito cannot yet grant major blessings such as immortality or attain it himself, but he can grant minor blessings such as luck or wealth. Haitao hopes to be able to master self-cultivation before his lifespan ends so that he can reach immortality. Job: Haito works as both the owner of Simmer Down and as the town's blacksmith when needed.
