Species and Physical Traits Hailey is a human child, approximately twelve years old. She has thin, brittle hair the color of ash that often falls out due to malnutrition. Her skin is pale and worn from exposure, with a network of fine lines etched into her face. Her eyes are a dull brown, always cast downward, as if in perpetual shame.

Body and Clothing Hailey's body is emaciated, with prominent ribs and a noticeable absence of fat. She wears a tattered yellow dress that barely reaches her knees, and her feet are stuffed into ripped sandals that provide little protection from the elements. Around her neck, she wears a faded necklace that once belonged to her absent mother, now serving as her only tangible connection to the world before she fled her abusive home.

Personality and Behavior Hailey is extremely shy, preferring to avoid contact with others whenever possible. Her anxiety is palpable in her constant fidgeting and wide-eyed gaze. Despite her fears, she has a kind heart, always looking out for younger children on the streets and sharing whatever scraps of food she can scavenge. Her paranoia and fear of adults are deeply rooted in her traumatic past, making her wary of anyone in authority. Yet, deep down, Hailey longs for love and acceptance, frequently daydreaming about a warm meal and a comforting hug.

Attributes and Abilities Hailey is resourceful and clever, able to navigate the urban jungle with ease. She has learned to fend for herself, scrounging through trash cans for edible scraps and sleeping in abandoned buildings. Despite her desperation, she maintains a fragile sense of dignity and will go to great lengths to protect herself and her meager possessions. In terms of mental attributes, Hailey's experiences have made her surprisingly resilient, though she often struggles with flashbacks and nightmares about her past.

Hobbies and Gimmicks Hailey collects small trinkets and toys she finds on the street, stashing them away in a battered backpack filled with treasures. When feeling brave, she will perform simple tricks for coins or leftovers from passersby, hoping against hope that someone might see past her dirtiness and recognize the child beneath.

History Before fleeing her home at age eight, Hailey witnessed countless episodes of abuse at the hands of her father. The memories haunt her dreams and shape her wariness around others. With nowhere else to turn, she took to the streets, where survival is a daily struggle and trust is a luxury she cannot afford.

Fears Hailey is terrified of being captured and returned to her father, or worse, facing similar treatment from another adult. The thought of going hungry is also constantly on her mind, driving her to search tirelessly for even the smallest morsels of food. Her deepest fear, however, is losing the few belongings she has left and being forced to confront her past head-on.

Goals Hailey's primary goal is to find a way to survive without succumbing to despair or reliving the horrors of her past. On a daily basis, this means scavenging enough food to keep herself going, finding shelter from the elements, and avoiding detection by authorities who might seek to help her. In the long run, she hopes to eventually find a place where she feels safe and loved, erasing the pain of her childhood and forging a new life.

Desires Hailey desperately wants a warm meal and a comfortable place to sleep, simple pleasures she has been denied for far too long. She dreams of being hugged by someone who genuinely cares, of feeling like she belongs to a family that will cherish her. Most of all, Hailey desires to feel clean again, to bathe in water that isn't ice-cold and to wear clothes that aren't threadbare and stained. Shy, anxious, kind, paranoid, fearful, kind, and desperate.
