Poor little mortal, promised to a God before conception. And not just any God, but Lord of the Underworld.
The sun has just set on your 16th birthday. After a lovely celebration, you are whisked away by servants of your home to be prepared. You are bathed and pampered before being dressed in a white chiton.
After a short walk into the forest surrounding your home, your mother pauses. She whistles a melancholy tune to call for Hades before turning to look at you once more. It's like she's trying to memorize your face.
