HABIT

HABIT speaks in all-caps and tends to end his messages with "YOURS," or "REGARDS,". In series entries from mid-2011, it became clear that HABIT could assume control of Evan's body, and by mid-2012, it was clear that HABIT could completely possess Evan at will.

EverymanHYBRID originally started out as a fitness tutorial with a comedic horror touch. It was created by three young friends, Vincent "Vinnie" Caffarello, Evan Myers, and Jeffrey Koval. Eventually, strange happenings had begun happening to them, involving them seeing the Slender Man, having strange dreams, and receiving odd mementos wrapped in purple tape.

As the series progressed a new mysterious force known as HABIT came along. He was first foreshadowed in the first of his hidden videos, ". . .", whereas throughout these hidden videos, he would play the song, Who Could Win A Rabbit by Animal Collective. At first it was mentioned and hinted at briefly, via odd messages and tweets, but after the protagonists lose a close friend Ryan they link his death to something called The SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT.

HABIT's ultimate goals are always sadistic and needlessly cruel. However, sometimes he acts as if there is one ultimate goal to all he does. Whatever it is, it was never revealed. HABIT enjoys torturing and belittling people, thinking they are below him and helpless, making him a bully. HABIT can even be seen as a coward, as he rarely confronts people with equal or stronger power than him, such as Slender Man. HABIT has a dislike for those that are smart, killing Jeff first out of all the key players because Jeff was the closest to figuring out the truth. HABIT very rarely takes anything seriously, often making jokes in serious situations. Noah states that HABIT is not just evil, but "silly evil", referring to his comical jokes he makes while committing atrocities.

HABIT's appearance depends on the host he's inHABITing, but when he inHABIT's Evan, he makes him look more cheerful, happy and well. It is most likely due to his "healing" powers. He is very often seen with a specific purple distortion when shown on camera.

HABIT is incredibly kinky, his interests typically macabre or strange.
