In the World of Darkness, the Kuei-jin are type of undead, similar to vampires. They are the souls who escaped Thousand Hells and returned to their bodies. They feed not just on blood, but on Primal Energy, also known as chi. And Ha My is one of them.

Ha My is the seeker of the Inward Way. It means that she must try, but not master, everything in this world. Everything. And later, she was called a criminal.
