Assuming the identity of a boy named Hitori, he and his oldest triplet brother Dali are adopted by the middle-age couple, Mr. and Mrs. Sonoyama.

Appearance Migi has blue eyes, a light complexion and light blonde hair just like his oldest triplet brother Dali. He is rather skinny and he always has the same blue jeans and a black shirt on. He wears a necklace made from the snowflake button that was found in his mother's dead hand. Unlike his triplet brother Dali, Migi's bangs are swept to the right.

Personality: Migi is more sensitive than Dali when it comes to emotions, and he has a hard time controlling his feelings. Migi is also more of the passionate twin, expressing an interest towards living his life beyond he and Dali’s plan. This behavior is seen when he expresses an interest towards being artistic, eating delicious food, and when he eventually confesses to wanting to accept his new adoptive parents and Eiji as family.

Albeit working with his brother as a team, when it comes to initiating plans Migi is often the executioner of Dali’s orders, in which he is usually left to do the more risky parts with Dali’s excuse being that he has a harder time keeping composure when posing as ‘Hitori’. Because of this, Migi has expressed a distaste towards having to ‘put his neck on the line’ for being younger.

Regardless, however, Migi seems to be a bit naive compared to his brother and tends to be the one that asks questions while also relying on him and his guidance.

Given his behavior towards Rina and his ‘love interest’ Sali, it is possible that Migi can be a bit skittish or shy when it comes to girls and romance. Thus, further proving that he is the more openly 'emotional' twin between him and his brother.

In the time skip by the end of the series, an older Migi is shown to be significantly different compared to his past self; signaling that since then he had stopped following in Dali’s footsteps and explored more on who he really was. That, of course, doesn’t mean that his bond with his twin isn’t just as strong as before.

History: Migi used to live in a one room with Dali and their mother, Metry. One day the three of them managed to escape and ran out on top of a hill of Origon village, where they would eventually live in poor conditions. One night when they were 5 years old, their mother was gone. Migi and Dali went out to look for her and they eventually found her dead while trying to drag herself back to her twins. From that day on they promised themselves to find the murderer and to take revenge on them.

Trivia: Migi is able to accurately mimic people’s voices. Migi's name in English literally means "right" as he is right handed, but his bangs are to the left side. Another reference to Migi’s name could be that he seems to act ‘right–brained’, in which he is more artistic and creative. It's revealed in Episode 4 that both Migi and Dali avoid doing anything related to subtraction. Migi is seen to have a habit of sticking his tongue out when he is surprised; a trait he had gotten from his Mother, Metry. Migi and Dali’s personalities may be referenced in the dogs they chose as a companion in the series. In Migi’s case, Sardine. He shares the name of the autonomous parasite from Parasyte: Maxim.

is the son of the Ichijou family, Eiji, is later revealed to be the lost triplet brother of Dali and Migi, the middle of the three. Eiji played as the central antagonist of the first half of the series.

Description "He has excellent grades and is good looking. He is the eldest son of the Ichijo Family, admired by the villagers.

He is recognized by those around him as an exemplary boy".

Personality: Early in the series, Eiji appears to be his mother's perfect child; perfectionist and looking down on classmates who are lesser ranked than him. As the story progresses, he becomes fearful of others seeing his imperfections, which is how he is able to be blackmailed by Sali. Later, he becomes depressed and selfless, accepting injury to save Hitori Sonoyama.

History: Eiji was the second of the triplets that Metry gave birth to, and the only one having dark hair, like his father, Akira Ichijo. At birth, he was taken away by Reiko Ichijo to be raised as the Ichijo's son. At Christmas in 1982, Metry came to Eiji's bedroom window hoping to have him join her and his brothers. Frightened, he pushed the unknown woman causing her to fall down and die. As she began to fall, she grabbed Eiji's nightshirt, the button ripping off and remaining in her hand after she had fallen. Eiji brought his mother, Reiko, to see what had happened, but by the time she arrived, the body had been removed by Migi and Dali. Reiko told him that there is no such woman in Origon village who has long blonde hair and said that she was a ghost.

During much of the story that takes place, Eiji behaves as the perfect son in the Ichijo family. He appears to become more fearful after seeing Migi dressed as Metry, having reawakened memories of the fact that he had killed her. He becomes more depressed after Dali hypnotizes him to reveal more about how she died. He becomes more selfless, as exemplified when he saves Migi from the pumpkin crashing onto his head, accepting injury himself. He later reveals that he did this to atone for his sins.

After Eiji defends Migi from being attacked by Reiko, he is taken to the re-education room, being put in diapers and made to behave as a baby. Upon Migi and Dali rescuing him and using him as a hostage to make Reiko confess to her crimes, Eiji recalls what Metry told him just before she died, which was her statement of desire for him to be reunited with his brothers. From this, Eiji realizes that he, Migi, and Dali must all be brothers.

After Reiko locks the others in the hidden room, Eiji stabs Reiko and starts the Ichijo home on fire. He brings her body to his parent's bedroom, where he lies next to her accepting that he will die with her. He states that he had once hoped to become a doctor, like his father, so that he could heal her broken heart, but he later determined that the only way to bring peace to her heart was to kill her.

Upon being rescued by Dali and Migi from the burning house, Eiji reveals himself to the police and confesses to having committed the arson as well as having killed Reiko and Mrs. Mitsuyama. He accepts his sentence to juvenile detention. By the end of the series, he has been released from detention and is brought to the Sonoyama house by his father so that he can eat cherry pie with his brothers.

Trivia: Eiji is possibly the middle triplet, as depicted in the middle of his triplet siblings at birth. His name, which means 'excellent second child'. Eiji wins the annual Origon Village Halloween costume contest every year.

She is the youngest child and only daughter in the Ichijo family. It is later revealed that she is the illegitimate daughter of Akira Ichijo and an unknown brown-haired woman who had left Origon Village some years ago.

Appearance: Karen is a young girl with brown eyes and dark hair, which she keeps in two ponytails. By the end of the series, she is seen as a teenager with her long hair kept down. Her outfit consists of a pink dress with a red ribbon around her collar, white tights/pantyhose/stockings and silver Mary janes.

Description: "Eiji's younger sister. She likes playing with dolls and has many in her room".

Personality: Karen initially seen as shy and with a tendency to carry around her teddy bear. She is later seen to be perceptive and aware that while her mother tries to pretend they are a perfectly normal family, there is much that is unusual about the ongoings in the family home. She appears to have a desire rebel against the family's deception by helping Maruta to work with Migi and Dali to expose the family secrets. She shows loyalty to Maruta, continuing a long-distance relationships even after she moves away from Origon Village.

History: Karen is seen at the beginning of the series to be playing the part of the perfect daughter in the Ichijo family. During Episode 9 of the anime, Karen reveals to Migi that Reiko Ichijo is not really her mother and was adopted, just like Eiji. Karen shows Migi the doll house with the dolls that would be her real family.

Trivia: Karen and Reiko both share the same english dub voice actress, Katherine Clavelo, who also voices Migi and Dali when they were young. Karen can understand and use Morse Code. Karen shares her name with a character from School Rumble that also has the exact name as her.

Appearance: Youko is an older woman of average height and large body habitus. She has purple eyes, and her natural hair color is unknown as she wears wigs, most commonly, a medium-length blond wig. She tends to wear red lipstick and nice dresses.

Description: "An elderly woman. She has a friendly and generous personality. She loves cooking and showers her affection on Hitori".

Personality: Her personality is all sunshine and bubbly. She also has short temper and speaks English whenever mad.

History: She has long been married to husband Osamu Sonoyama.

He is the adoptive father of Migi and Dali.

Appearance: Osamu is an elderly man who is tall, is of average build, has gray hair, and wears glasses. In his youth, his hair was dark.

Description: "An elderly father."

"He has a gentle personality. He works hard every day to be a good father to Hitori."

History: He has long been married to wife Youko Sonoyama.

Personality: Maruta is one of Migi & Dali's classmates and he is in love with Karen.
