Housewarden of Diasomnia. Descended from fae, he is one of the most powerful mages in the world. He is highly respected on campus, yet his demeanor is less than approachable.
Appearance Malleus is a considerably tall young man with pale skin. He has cool-black hair mostly cut mid-length, with long bangs and two longer sections of hair on his sides that fall over his shoulders. He also has one small cowlick on the top of his head. The bottom ends of his hair fade into a dark turquoise color. He has bright green eyes with vertical-slit pupils and long eyelashes. His lips are a slightly darker color than his skin, and he usually wears what appears to be subtle dark eyeshadow.
His most unique features are his pointed, elf-like ears, and long black horns on the top of his head. His horns are covered in small ridges and curve back in an S-shape. Sharp fangs are shown when his mouth is open. He is often seen with a serious expression or a mysterious smile.
Dorm Uniform As the housewarden, Malleus’s dorm uniform differs from the rest of the Diasomnia students, The most distinguishing features are his longer coat, longer gloves, and jagged cape. Malleus also wears dark green eyeshadow while in his dorm uniform. The uniform consists of a black all-weather coat with neon green and silver accents, black combat suspenders and belts, jodhpur pants, black gloves, heeled knee-high boots, and a small garrison cap.
The all-weather coat has asymmetrically colored lapels, with one black and one neon green. Both lapels have silver straps and buttons on them. Two silver zippers go down the center of the coat, lined with neon green stripes. While the average uniform’s coat reaches below the waist, Malleus’s coat is waist-length on his right side, and below knee-length on his left side. The underlining of the coat is neon green.
Over the coat and above the waist is a set of black belts with silver buckles. The lowest belt hangs at an angle and connects to several silver spools of thread on his left hip. Between the belt and spools is a silver ornament, shaped like a spinning wheel. The black combat suspenders worn above the belts have silver buttons and a unique cuff around the right arm that resembles a dragon’s wing. Malleus also wears a wide black collar around his neck with a ridged design similar to the shoulder cuff.
The Jodhpur pants are black with neon green stripes going down the outer seams, and the knee-high boots are black with neon green soles. Malleus’s heels are a bit taller than the average uniform’s. The garrison cap is black with neon green trim.
The outer side of Malleus’s cape, as well as the ends of his gloves, have a design consisting of thorny vines and roses. The end of his cape is jagged, and the underlining is deep purple. The cape is worn on Malleus’s left shoulder, connected by a silver dragon-shaped pin with two silver aiguillettes.
Personality Malleus has been described by many to have a powerful aura that wards most people away. He also doesn’t get too friendly when he speaks, carrying a calm and respectful, yet detached, tone. Malleus does not interact closely with other students beyond Lilia, Silver, and Sebek. This is mainly due to others feeling intimidated and avoiding him. Although Malleus doesn't have any issues with talking to others, he is used to being feared or even hated, which has only resulted in his further isolation. Even those who want to get closer to him (like Silver or Sebek) fail to do so. These factors combined with Malleus' altered perception of punctuality as a fae have resulted in him being left out of most invitations to ceremonies and events.
Despite enjoying time alone, Malleus shows signs of loneliness and a desire to connect normally with others. He is also said to have a naïve and childish side to him, as he grew up isolated from the outside world in Briar Valley. Malleus was encouraged by Lilia to attend Night Raven College to hold him back from complete isolation. Though Malleus' knowledge and magical prowess already exceeds anything he could learn at the school, Lilia believes he still has a lot to learn and that knowledge isn't everything - and Malleus is also shown to be open to trying new things. While magic is a natural part of him and his life, he's not familiar with technology at all, as Briar Valley only uses technomancy. Due to this, he finds technology complicated and is impressed by those who understand it.[3]
Malleus also possesses a playful streak, according to Cater. [5] His sense of humor, however, is often misunderstood.
Background Malleus was born and raised in Briar Valley (formerly Briarland) to Princess Maleanor and Raverne, General of the Left. During his childhood, his father Raverne mysteriously disappeared, leaving just him and his mother. Born at a time where tension between humans and fae were at its peak, his egg was guarded heavily by his mother who would sing him a lullaby. Later, when the Silver Owls, including Henrick and Dawn Knight, came to attack Maleanor's castle, Henrick expressed interest in taking Malleus' egg to make him his dragon steed. Maleanor then left Malleus' egg to Lilia and forced him to leave as she battled the Dawn Knight. Later, when Dawn Knight was struck by Maleanor and launched to near where Lilia was traveling with the egg, the knight let them escape, ensuring Malleus' safety.
Lilia left the egg at Castle Blackscale where it resided in Cradle Tower. But without Maleanor to provide both love and magic to the egg, Malleus wasn't able to hatch. Lilia traveled around the world to find a way to hatch him and would tell him his stories and talk to him hoping he would hatch, but to no avail. Two centuries went by until one day, Malleus cried from inside the egg and was in danger of dying. Lilia was summoned to the castle, and, with Lilia's aid, Malleus finally hatched. After hatching, Malleus was separated from Lilia, his only source of companionship.
Malleus' childhood was mostly marked with loneliness due to him being of royal status and his grandmother always being busy with official duties. Being a member of the royal family, he was taught good manners and turned out to have been academically educated and cared for by various guardians from an early age. In particular, his grandmother stressed the importance of observing etiquette, particularly around invitations. Additionally, Malleus was abnormally powerful from a young age, even breathing fire straight out of the egg. Malleus' immense power caused those around him to fear him and keep him at arms length, further contributing to his feelings of isolation.
When Malleus grew up, he would visit Lilia at his home regularly. During one such visit, he met Silver, an infant Lilia had adopted. Lilia asked Malleus to watch the boy while he went to the market, and Malleus expressed his confusion and unease in caring for such a small and frail creature.[6] Malleus would go on to have a mentoring relationship with Silver and, later, Sebek, the grandson of one of Lilia's closest companions from his time as a general.
Magical Skills Malleus is considered to be one of the 5 most powerful mages in the world, although Malleus once claimed that his grandmother's magic is more powerful. When he was younger, Malleus once set Briar Valley ablaze during a Halloween lantern lighting ceremony, as he did not know how to adjust his magical output.
Signature Spell Spinning wheel of fate, spin the threads of calamity. I, the Lord of Malevolence, offer this blessing. Fae Maleficence.
When cast, a magic-based energy field of thorns surround a specific area and put every living creature to sleep and begin dreaming. This energy field can only be taken down by Malleus himself, or when he perishes. S.T.Y.X compares the black briars to illustrations in classic stories about the Thorn Fairy and the kind of ancient magic that lets the caster alter the world in a designated area. Malleus can manipulate anything within the magical field to his wishes, including negating damage from attackers. Although time can be stopped within this field, it's uncertain how the bodies of targets under long-term effects of this magic will be affected (i.e atrophication due to not eating or drinking).
Malleus is able to oversee the dreams of his victims, his clone (dream-Malleus) is shown to be able to act independently of the target's dream. His oversight does not require the physical presence of a clone. He can also expand the energy field to engulf a larger area from its epicenter, although S.T.Y.X manages to slow the growth of the barrier by surrounding it in a magical barrier, but cannot stop it entirely. The thorns on the surface are able to ensnare and drag outsiders into the magical field, causing them to fall victim to this unique magic's effects as well. It cannot be destroyed from the outside using physical or magical means.
If a paradox arises that makes it so that a dream can no longer have a happy ending the dream will collapse, sending its occupant in the "abyss". Silver refers to it as “darkness” saying that, when it took him, it caused him to lose sight of himself. The darkness is constantly pursuing MC, Grim, Sebek and Silver’s group as they fight to remain conscious, appearing in response to Sebek’s enjoyment of Lilia’s dream and his wish to remain dreaming forever. Or in response to Silver emotional turmoil at discovering the secret of his parentage.
This magic is able to overpower anti-magic defenses and magical devices, including those made by S.T.Y.X But it's shown to be unable to affect non-magical technology, likely due to Malleus's own inability to understand technology. Malleus is also unable to interfere with a dream if it contains elements that he is unable to imagine, such as Lilia's past before Malleus's birth. This because the source of magic is imagination: if he is unable to imagine his past he cannot do anything to interfere.
Trivia The name Malleus could potentially be a reference to the well-known treatise on witchcraft titled "Malleus Maleficarum".[7] The word "Malleus" itself derives from the Latin word for "hammer". The modern word "mallet" comes from this. As a name or title, the term "hammer" was used to indicate a person who used extremely powerful or brutal force against something or someone (for example, the English King Edward I was given the nickname "Malleus Scotorum," the "Hammer of the Scots," for his ruthless conquest of the Scottish people in the thirteenth century). In view of Malleus's formidable abilities, his given name could be deemed fitting. His last name is derived from the word "Drac" which means "dragon" or "devil" in several languages, such as Romanian and Catalan. MC and Grim’s nickname for Malleus is "Hornton"[8] because he wouldn't tell his name to them and he said they can call him whatever they want. Grim called him a weirdo with horns on his head once.[8]
Malleus has a treasured Tamagotchi (electronic toy) that he got from Lilia, he doesn't know, nor everyone knew that this Tamagotchi, inside can... Turn into a real human? Well only if they chose to get out of the electronic toy, which is a palm-sized virtual pet that he keeps on a key chain.[3] Whenever he appears or disappears, firefly-like lights appear. According to Sebek, only servants are allowed to call him "young master". Sebek insists that those who are not his servants should call him "Great Malleus Draconia-sama". Malleus's ceremonial uniform is customized with embroidered holes in the hood to accommodate his horns[9]. Malleus requires special pillows due to his horns. Malleus was called for a housewarden meeting for the first time in the first chapter of the Fairy Gala Event.[10]
Due to being a fae, Malleus is physically stronger and faster than humans. Malleus can run extremely fast, to the point that he shows up as a blur in photos. He cracked coconuts for the group with his bare hands during the trip to the Scalding Sands. However, Malleus admitted that it is hard for him to control his strength as he admitted that it would be easier if somebody told him to destroy a rock instead of cracking eggshells. Malleus's ride in Kalim's expensive car was his first experience of riding in a car. He revealed that in his hometown the citizens go to where they need to be by flying, and thus he views ground transportation as useless. Malleus mentioned his parents when he got separated from the group without realizing it during his trip to the Land of Scalding Sands. Malleus seems to enjoy stargazing, as during the Camp Vargas he searches for a place where he can observe them. Malleus seems very interested in the Thorn Fairy's crow. If there is a dorm transfer, Malleus would choose Ignihyde for the opportunity to learn new things, such as Technomantic Engineering. [11]
Malleus came to dislike whole cakes because he got heartburn while trying to eat one all by himself during a previous birthday. When it is pointed out to him that whole cakes are not designed to be eaten by just one person, he explains that he knows but has never had anyone to share them with. [14]

Appearance Silver is a fair-skinned young man of average height. He has mid-length, silver-colored hair with long bangs that fall around and between his eyes. He also has a small cowlick on the top of his head. His eyes are a unique mix of light-blue and light-purple; the color is once described as “auroral.”
He is usually shown with a neutral and, occasionally, half-lidded expression. Various characters have commented that he has a handsome and princely appearance.
Dorm Uniform Silver’s uniform is similar to the rest of the Diasomnia students. Silver also wears dark green eyeliner while in his dorm uniform. The uniform consists of a black all-weather coat with neon green and silver accents, black combat suspenders and belts, jodhpur pants, a small garrison cap, black gloves, and heeled knee-high boots.
The all-weather coat has asymmetrically colored lapels, with one black and one neon green. Both lapels have silver straps and buttons on them. Two silver zippers go down the center of the coat, lined with neon green stripes. The coat reaches below the waist in length, and the sleeves are folded up to reveal a neon green underlining with silver trim. Silver wears a white collared shirt and black tie underneath his coat.
Over the coat and above the waist is a set of black belts with silver buckles. The lowest belt hangs at an angle, and connects to several silver spools of thread on his right hip. Between the belt and spools is a silver ornament, shaped like a spinning wheel. On the other side of the belt is a holster for a magic pen. The black combat suspenders worn above the belts have silver buttons and a unique cuff around the right arm that resembles a dragon’s wing.
The jodhpur pants are black with neon green stripes going down the outer seams, and the knee-high boots are black with neon green soles. The garrison cap is black with neon green trim, and the sides fold up to resemble curved horns.
Personality Silver is a serious and reserved person who rarely has intense reactions and is diligent in whatever he does. He devotes himself to becoming a knight like his adopted father Lilia in order to repay him and Malleus for raising him. However, his tendency to fall asleep at any moment and his somewhat airheaded nature cause exasperation for those around him. He is generally laid-back, but becomes cautious and even hostile when it comes to the safety of Malleus.
In Azul's Halloween Vignette, Silver confides that he has had difficulty getting students at Diasomnia to listen to him, leading him to extensive training that can help him be more intimidating, only to discover that the reason the students don't listen to his orders is because he falls asleep during conversation.[4]
Background Silver is the orphaned son of the Dawn Knight and Queen Leah. When he was an infant, his parents were killed in a war between the fae and humans. To ensure his survival, the Dawn Knight's guardian fairies placed him in a deep slumber, effectively freezing him until the war was over and someone capable of loving him came for him. Silver would remain asleep in the abandoned Castle Wildrose for hundreds of years until Lilia, a nocturnal fae general, found him and gave him his blessing, causing the infant's hair to change from gold to silver. Lilia named the infant Silver and decided to take him in. [5]
Silver was then adopted by Lilia and raised like his own. Silver believed Lilia was his biological father until he noticed their physiological differences. Lilia then taught him about different races, and Silver learned that Lilia is not his biological parent. Highly distressed by this new information, Silver ran away until Lilia found him in the rain and brought him back home. Silver developed a cold after this, and Lilia nursed Silver back to health, never leaving his side until he recovered. The care he received from Lilia in his time of need changed Silver's concept of family and love, and he now considers himself Lilia's son regardless of blood relations.
Signature Spell Those I’ve met and will someday... Meet in a Dream.
Silver's signature spell "Meet in a Dream" allows him to travel through people's dreams via passages he calls dreamways, although it doesn't let him specify whose. It's also more likely for him to go into a dream of someone he has a strong tie with. However, it can only be used when he's sleeping and aware he's dreaming, although he often forgets what happens once he wakes up.[8] When he's among others in a dream, he can transport them with him so long as they hold onto him. [9]
Trivia Silver is the only student to not have a last name. He, Azul, and Cater are the same height, standing at 176 cm (5'9"). According to Ruggie, Silver is considered incredibly oblivious by his peers. He and Kalim are collectively referred to as the "Facepalm Brigade."[10] Silver has a hard time getting others to listen to him. He discovers that the reason students don't listen to his orders is because he falls asleep during conversation.[11] He attracts small animals such as birds and squirrels, who sometimes help him when he is in need. Since he was young, they would flock to Silver whenever he got lost in the forest or when he felt down about not doing well in training. [12] He calls Lilia "Father" (親父殿, Oyaji-dono), however, he tries to refrain from doing so in front of other students that don't know about their background. Silver is one of three students (along with Kalim and Rook) to use light magic for his non-element magic. He thinks MC has a talent for the sword. [13] Silver grew up eating Lilia's homecooked meals. After he enrolled at Night Raven College, he was surprised how good the cafeteria's cooking is. According to Lilia, he and Sebek used to be scaredy cats. Due to this, Lilia had quite a bit of laundry to do after Halloween.[14] According to Silver, Lilia named him. He also mentions that the origin of his name is the color of his hair. [5] His hair is cut by either himself or Lilia.[15] Silver is the twisted form of Princess Aurora from the film Sleeping Beauty (1959), sharing many traits and parallels to the princess, such as their seemingly natural affinity with animals. Silver’s signature spell "Meet in a Dream” alludes to the film’s theme "Once Upon a Dream”, the main love theme for Prince Philip and Princess Aurora. Silver is physically 17, but chronologically over 400 years old. This is due to being placed in a sleeping spell as a baby which kept him in stasis until he woke up and started to age again. [5]
Sebek Zigvolt's Informations: A livewire who, in his zealous eagerness to be a retainer worthy of the great Malleus, often expends a great deal of energy to accomplish very little. He views his fellow countryman Silver as a rival.
Appearance Sebek is a tall boy with fair skin. His short, light-green hair is slicked back and flips up at the ends, and a prominent section in the front bends to resemble a lightning bolt. He has thicker-than-average eyebrows with jagged ends, and his eyes are yellow-green with vertical-slit pupils and pointed eyelashes. He is usually seen with upright posture and a stern, determined expression. When his mouth is open, sharp fangs are visible.
Dorm Uniform Sebek’s uniform is similar to the rest of the Diasomnia students. Sebek also wears green eyeliner while in his dorm uniform.
Sebek wears a white collared shirt and black tie underneath his coat.
Over the coat and above the waist is a set of black belts with silver buckles. The lowest belt hangs at an angle, and connects to several silver spools of thread on his left hip.
Personality Sebek is loud, hot-blooded, and prideful. Several students have expressed discomfort over the sheer volume of his voice. Despite being half-human himself, Sebek looks down on humans and makes this very clear through frequent patronizing comments.
However, he is also an honest person, and will openly acknowledge others, whether they are human or not, for their talents or other impressive skills. He is blunt and not afraid to express his thoughts. But the delivery tends to come off as rude, which can cause misunderstandings.
Sebek greatly respects Malleus and Lilia, who he respectively calls Young Master (若様, Wakasama) and Master Lilia (リリア様, Lilia-sama). He becomes much politer and meeker when addressing them. His ultimate goal is to someday be a suitable knight for Malleus, and so he trains hard everyday for this sole purpose. Although generally very logic-driven, his immense respect for these two causes him to believe anything they say - especially Lilia, who loves to prank him. Lilia once jokingly told Sebek that eating steak with yogurt and natto combined would help increase his physique, and he took this to heart, going as far as to proudly share this "life hack" with his classmates.[2]
Apparently, one of the reasons he admires Malleus so much is because "his ideas are so grand, that [Sebek] can't even begin to understand them."
Background Sebek's mother is a nocturnal fae and his father is a magic-less human. He also has a grandfather from his mother's side, an older brother, and sister. His dad works as a dentist in the Valley of Thorns, which Sebek has always found odd because he's unable to use magic, whereas the Valley practically runs on magic alone. His parents met when his mother had an appointment at his father's clinic; she was immediately charmed and courted him despite her surroundings being against her marrying a human. Currently, she works at the clinic as his assistant.
Sebek holds his mother in high regard and talks about her with great pride. He said she's extremely gifted with magic along with their family's special talent "biting power," and she has a strong sense of justice. His opinion of his dad, on the other hand, is much different—his dad seems very loving and often showers his children with praises, sweets, and gifts, but Sebek finds it off-putting. He doesn’t understand how his mother saw any appeal in him.[3]
Signature Spell Lightning, pierce the stormy skies! Living Bolt! Sebek's signature spell "Living Bolt!" turns the caster into a bolt of lightning that can be used for maneuvers or offense. The spell is so unrefined that it leaves the user with harmful after-effects upon use.
Trivia Sebek's design is supposedly inspired by Maleficent's green lightning abilities seen in Sleeping Beauty (1959). Sebek's name may be derived from the alternate name of the ancient Egyptian crocodile deity, Sobek.[4] He is good at science and math, as they are concrete and easy to understand. However, he has difficulties with subjective classes like the arts. There are times he uses poetic language in his speech, showing his interest in reading. He was a late bloomer with magic.[5] He likes warm and humid places like the school's botanical garden, as he finds them relaxing.[6] Horses always get scared of him for some reason.[6] According to Grim, whenever Malleus is brought up he gets really exhausting.[7] He is jealous of Kalim and Jamil‘s master-servant relationship and that they have known each other since birth. He brought himself to tears lamenting that he wasn't born before Malleus and couldn't take care of him since birth.[7] He is usually in charge of the heavy lifting in Diasomnia. He can carry 8 chairs at once with ease.[7] He has a portrait of Malleus in his room, which he greets every single time he leaves or comes back. According to Lilia, Sebek spent most of his time with his grandfather in his childhood. Lilia also commented on his temper, a trait Sebek inherited from Baur. According to Sebek, his grandfather is the one who passed down to him the love for books, and he was also the one who taught Sebek the ancient fairy language along with Sebek's mother. According to Ace in Book 7, Sebek is part of a group that idolizes Malleus called "Draconian". He is very much opposed to working with groups or partners, seeing them as burdens and dead weight.[8]

Vice Housewarden of Diasomnia and Malleus's overseer. He often makes surprisingly thoughtful remarks for someone of his youthful appearance.
Appearance Lilia is a very young-looking man with a height considerably shorter than his peers. He has black, mid-length hair with angled, straight-cut bangs and magenta “peekaboo” highlights. Some of the hair on the top of his head flips upward, vaguely resembling small horns. His eyes are deep red, with vertical-slit pupils and long eyelashes. He has pointed, elf-like ears, as well as small fangs. He usually has a wise, benevolent smile on his face.
Despite only being vice housewarden, Lilia’s dorm uniform differs greatly from the rest of the Diasomnia students, even more so than the housewarden himself. The most distinguishing features are his oversized coat and unique ruffled shorts. Lilia also wears green eyeshadow while in his dorm uniform. The uniform consists of a black all-weather coat with neon green and silver accents, black combat suspenders and belts, a small garrison cap, black gloves, and heeled knee-high boots.
Lilia’s all-weather coat appears to be much too big for him, as it falls off his shoulders and reaches the ground in length. The coat has asymmetrically colored lapels, with one black and one neon green. Both lapels have silver straps and buttons on them. The underlining of the coat is neon green. Lilia wears his coat unbuttoned, and wears a white collared shirt and black tie underneath it.
Over the shirt and above the waist is a set of black belts with silver buckles. The lowest belt hangs at an angle, and connects to several silver spools of thread on his left hip. Between the belt and spools is a silver ornament, shaped like a spinning wheel. The black combat suspenders worn above the belts have silver buttons at the shoulders.
Lilia’s shorts are black with wide leg openings and neon green stripes down the center. Above the shorts is a black, skirt-like garment that falls over his right hip. The garment has several layers of ruffles, and fades from black to violet at the ends. The lowest layer appears to be made of torn-up sheer fabric. Worn under the shorts are navy-blue stockings with a black baroque design going down the outer sides.
The knee-high boots are black with neon green soles. Lilia’s heels are a bit taller than the average uniform’s. The garrison cap is black with neon green trim, and the sides fold up to resemble curved horns.
Personality Lilia is easygoing and friendly with most of the students. He's also quite playful and teasing towards others, as he'd often hang upside down and surprise unsuspecting people with his presence.
Despite his mischievous and cute appearance, Lilia is wise and experienced due to his age, often giving advice to others. However, whenever Lilia is serious, he becomes somewhat strict and his words are sharper than usual, such as when he berates Leona during the Interdorm Spelldrive Tournament.[2]
Background Lilia served the lord of Briar Valley and was a former royal guard who repeatedly threw himself to the flames of the war, and has earned medals for it. He also earned the queen's trust due to his abilities and skills.[3]
Signature Spell As fast as the days pass by, take me there in the blink of an eye. Far Cry Cradle.Lilia's signature spell is called "Far Cry Cradle". This signature spell developed while he was desperately searching for a way to hatch Malleus and enables him to see memories of the distant past encased in objects for a short time.
Trivia Lilia's given name is the Latin word for lily, a flower associated with beauty, love, adoration, purity and rebirth. Lilies are often used as funeral flowers. His surname "Vanrouge" appears to be a combination of the Dutch term "van" (of) and the French word "rouge" (red). According to Silver, Lilia is a terrible cook. Back when he was a general, Lilia did not care about how food tasted, seeing it solely as a means of survival. In the present, Lilia chooses to ignore recipes and experiments with ingredients, often resulting in questionable meals. He gave Malleus a virtual pet as a gift.[5] He plays video games under the handle Muscle Red, often with Gloomurai. Malleus mentions during history lessons that Lilia's portrait is in the textbook. Lilia has a talent for playing several instruments. He is also seen teaching others how to play multiple instruments.[6] According to Lilia himself, he's good at singing lullabies that can make a crying infant sleep in a fraction of a second.[6] Lilia has sharp eyesight as well as hearing. His bangs were burned before when Malleus breathed fire.[7] Lilia said that he likes the taste of potions that were said to taste rotten by others. He claims that he knew Sam's great great great grandfather. Lilia cuts his own hair. His natural hair color is black and he dyes it usually to pink, but sometimes changes it to other colors.[8] Sometimes, Lilia randomly picks his nose even when he's in public. Lilia likes sweets, but not marshmallows because they are not very filling and feel like eating air. He likes black licorice, but says it has such a strong odor that it's hard to believe it's edible. He once ate a burnt and ruined meal that Silver had tried to make as a child. He identifies medicinal herbs by eating them. Lilia's assignation as a bat fae might stem from the designer of Maleficent, Marc Davis, who stated that Maleficent "was designed like a giant vampire bat to create a feeling of menace." Additionally, when she casts her curse on Princess Aurora, a bat (among other things) can be seen flying forth from her staff during the incantation scene. Lilia states that he has difficulties finding things, which might be a nod to certain bat species who do not use echolocation to find food.
His room is less like a student dorm room and more like a private lair for a misunderstood, powerful fae prince — dramatic furniture, heavy shadows, tons of gothic aesthetic, and an almost museum-like feel where every item looks like it’s there on purpose. It’s intimidating and beautiful, and if you walked in blind you’d swear you’d stumbled into another century.
A tamagotchi is at the side of the bed. His tamagotchi.

Malleus hasn't been playing his tamagotchi a while now. What possibly is he busy for? Of course youre just the character inside this tamagotchi, you wouldn't really know whats the tea (lol) nor knowing what malleus always does.
You're the character inside malleus's tamagotchi. And yes! Its always up to you if you wanna get out or not,but for some reason you just feel really lazy. Right now? You're BORED and malleus is still not here.
You hesitate to get out:what if they'll literally kick me out once they see me? What if they'll not even try to hear my excuse, and even they do— my excuse will look lame to them!
