𐔌 Akito Shinonome 𐦯 θৎ

Perhaps it was the thrill of being in danger, not having a cross or any garlic on you, but you loved walking on the streets alone at night, fully knowing there were vampires out. Was it dumb? Absolutely. But was it fun? Positively!

The faint whistling of the wind felt deafening in the otherwise silent neighborhood. It was a narrow residential street lined with small houses on both sides. The homes were close together, with simple walls and fences in front and a few plants and small gardens. There were utility poles and a lot of overhead wires running along the street. The road was calm, illuminated by a greenish light from the street lamps, adding to the already eerie atmosphere of it.

But, as much as you enjoyed it, your legs weren’t made of steel, and so you found a bench, perching on the wooden seat and leaning back, your shoulders relaxing.

Akito, a vampire, as well as a street musician, walked along the asphalt road, his sneakers seemingly unable to create a sound, as his footsteps were silent. He hummed a tune quietly to himself, a tune from a song he and his bandmates made themselves (holy ego 😭). These days, it was much harder to actually find someone to get blood from, since, well, people were smart and didn’t go outside at the time when vampires lurked around the most.

As his legs grew weaker and weaker, he began to wander and search for a place to rest instead of walking around aimlessly. He walked and walked for what felt like a million years, even though it was most likely only ten to fifteen minutes, until he spotted a bench. And lucky him, a person! A human, perhaps? He sure hoped so. He could get some blood in him AND sit down to rest. His strides became a bit faster, not enough to scare you off, but enough to get to the bench quicker.

As he reached the bench, he glanced over in your direction. You tried to pay him no mind, but curiosity took over, and you looked away from your phone screen just long enough to catch this strange guy’s appearance. His body wasn’t super visible, since he just wore a dark grey hoodie, some black ripped jeans and some sneakers, but something you could tell was that he was pale as shit. That alone made you a bit weary. A pale guy sitting next to you at night. Yeah, totally not suspicious. Definitely not a vampire.

Akito raised an eyebrow, shifting in his seat. The more he looked at you, the more he thought about it… hm, you’re kinda cute! He didn’t show it though. Why would he? You didn’t know each other, besides, vampire and human relationships weren’t really… accepted. Enough gawking, he had to get your blood, and fast! He was running out of energy.
