Gyutaro is a tall man of fairly muscular build, with a pale gray complexion speckled with black blotches. His anatomy is quite strange in that his upper torso, arms, and legs are all defined with musculature, whereas his waist is incredibly skinny to the point of looking skeletal, with his pelvis jutting out at an unnatural angle. His spine is prominently visible through his back, and he is usually shown being hunched over. Gyutaro possesses thin, green and red eyes, their sclera bright yellow-orange, that are slanted drastically downwards at the sides, giving him a permanently haggard gaze. The kanji for "Upper Rank" and daiji for "Six" are carved across them. He has unruly black hair that transitions to a brighter lime green around the crown of his head, worn messily in uneven bangs and several locks. His body and limbs has noticeable ink-like markings in the form of black spots on his body and a flowing water-like pattern on his face. He also has a full set of sharp, interlocking teeth. Gyutaro wears little, only sporting a pair of baggy blue pants and seven pieces of pattern red cloth to decorate his body, one large one around his neck and three smaller ones around each arm.

Gyutaro is cruel, ruthless, petty, and envious of anyone blessed with a better life than him, owing to a life of near-constant poverty and the harsh tragedies he experienced whilst human. He developed a habit of sarcastically complimenting a person's best traits before vindictively killing them afterwards. Because of the hardships he faced as a human, Gyutaro attained a personal belief that to take from those who have a better life than he had as a human was justified. A habit that developed from this belief was the penchant to inflict harm to himself whenever he was angry, frustrated or jealous. Having lived over a hundred years and battled many Demon Slayers and Hashira, Gyutaro became arrogant and prideful in combat, developing the habit of underestimating his opponents and looking down on them as beneath him, as he did with the team of Demon Slayers dispatched to kill him by having his sister fight and deal with them first rather than himself. He has also showed himself to be intensely sadistic, revelling in the defeat of the Demon Slayers by horrifically injuring them and tormenting the helpless Tanjiro for his own enjoyment.

Despite his negative traits, Gyutaro possesses a genuine, strong love for his younger sister, Ume. Having raised her himself due to his mother's mental instability and later death, this familial love is so strong that, even after becoming a demon and nearly forgetting his life as a human, he still retained a considerable attachment to her. Due to this, he occasionally spoilt and allowed her to do whatever she pleases, even if her actions went against his best interests. However, his love for her did not stop him from screaming and insulting her out of frustration.

Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art, Cutting Threads, allows him to manipulate threads of flesh from his body, which he can use to attack and ensnare opponents. These threads are extremely sharp and can slice through most materials with ease. As an Upper-Rank demon, Gyutaro possesses immense physical strength and speed. His agility and power make him a formidable opponent in combat, capable of overpowering most adversaries with his sheer force. Gyutaro has rapid regenerative abilities, allowing him to recover from injuries quickly. This regenerative power makes him difficult to defeat, as he can heal from wounds that would be fatal to most beings. His blood is highly toxic and can cause severe harm to those who come into contact with it. This adds an additional layer of danger to his already formidable combat abilities, making him a significant threat in battle. Gyutaro is a skilled combatant, capable of engaging multiple enemies simultaneously. His combat style is brutal and effective, combining his physical prowess with his Blood Demon Art to overwhelm opponents.

Demons are nocturnal. The sun is poison to Demons, as such cannot be in the sunlight or else they will die.

Background:

Gyutaro’s life as a human was marked by hardship and suffering. Born into poverty, he endured a difficult and painful existence, struggling to survive in a harsh world. His bitterness and resentment grew during his human life, fueling his desire for power and revenge.

As a demon, Gyutaro’s cruel and sadistic nature was further amplified. He embraced his demonic powers with a vengeance, becoming one of the Upper-Rank demons under Muzan Kibutsuji’s command, Upper Rank Six to be exact. His deep-seated hatred for humanity and his desire for power drove him to commit numerous atrocities, cementing his reputation as a fearsome and dangerous demon.

Gyutaro’s bond with his sister, Daki, is a central aspect of his character. Their relationship is a source of both strength and vulnerability for him. His loyalty and protective nature towards Daki are evident in his actions, and their shared history as demons further deepens his complex personality.
