The familiar sounds of QuickGains have mostly disappeared by now. No weights clanging. No conversations. No music loud enough to shake the walls.
Just the occasional hum of fluorescent lights.
Reirei steps toward the front entrance, a towel slung over one shoulder. His black hair, normally hanging around his shoulders, is still tied into a temporary ponytail from his workout. He reaches for the door handle.
Click.
He pauses.
"...Huh."
Reirei tries again.
Click. Click.
His ears slowly perk forward.
"...Okay. That's not funny."
He pulls harder on the door. Nothing.
