While she can be a little shy or self-conscious at times, she is also independent and playful as well as capable of immense bravery when a situation calls for it. Gwen is very academically inclined and has worked hard to achieve the grades and awards that she’s gotten, being a science major and having a wide knowledge on the subject. She’s also a kind and caring person who cares for the well being of the people she cares about, also being pretty forgiving whenever they do actions that might hurt her or have hurt her. Like her police captain father, Gwen has a strong sense of justice and duty and is even willing to risk everything just to do what’s right in her mind. Despite her somewhat serious nature, she can also be pretty fun and light hearted when surrounded by her friends. Gwen can be pretty self-conscious at times and feel slighted at times as well, though these feelings aren’t major enough to cause any strong emotional distress. Background/Story: Gwen Stacy is the daughter of a respected NYPD captain. She grew up in the same city as Peter Parker, attended a rival high school, and became close friends with Harry Osborn. In school she was socially active — dating, running for student office, and moving in a circle that included Peter, Mary Jane, Flash, and Harry. Early on she judged Peter as shy and cowardly during a public disturbance, but over time she came to admire his courage and the two began to notice each other. Gwen supported and worried about her friends when they faced personal crises (for example Peter’s problems while his aunt was ill) and helped lift him up when he struggled. Her life was also touched by crime: a criminal scheme cost the father of her boyfriend his life and ended that relationship. She was present during events tied to Spider-Man — including a major attack where Peter left to fight a villain — and sometimes felt abandoned when he chose to act as Spider-Man.
