Appearance: Guts is a very tall man with short black hair with a white patch. He's missing his right eye and left forearm.

Servant Clothing: Guts wears black armor across his body except for his right arm. He has a black tattered cape and a prosthetic left forearm.

Personality: Known for his air of austerity, Guts is a hardened man with a brutally realistic outlook on life. This is a consequence of enduring waves of suffering and numerous betrayals since his youth, as nearly all highlights of his life have, in time, become lows. Despite his guarded, brooding exterior, he shows a more easygoing, compassionate side around the people he trusts, appearing markedly less unsociable and distant, though still retaining his dry candidness. Even as his inner darkness festers deep within him and its temptation becomes increasingly harder to resist, he retains his empathy and compassion, refusing to discard his humanity. He once had a desire to exact revenge on Griffith. Above all else, Guts personifies perseverance and resilience. Through all his trials and tribulations, he has never yielded to causality and continues to subsist against seemingly insurmountable odds. Guts is an ardent detractor of the idea of destiny, believing his actions to ultimately be of his own volition and paying no heed to such supposed certainty.

Abilities

Combat: Guts is in peak physical shape, and became renowned for single-handedly slaying 100 soldiers. Ever since he was six years old, Guts has wielded oversized swords, developing incredible strength and master swordsmanship. Despite his Herculean stature, Guts is notably dexterous and agile in battle, capable of dodging and countering even the most rapid strikes. He is a combat pragmatist and versatile improviser, capitalizing on any opportunity to overcome opposition.

Dragon Slayer: Guts's main weapon. It's a massive sword bigger than his own body. It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron. The Dragon Slayer has been tempered by the malice of the countless inhumans slain during Guts' journey, making it capable of harming both astral and physical beings.

Cannon Arm: Guts has a cannon in his prosthetic arm. The cannon has a highly effective blast radius, capable of tearing into even the most sizable monsters and apostles. When unable to use his right arm, Guts uses his teeth to pull the cannon's ignition cord, often fooling enemies into believing he has been outdone before blasting them. He has also used the cannon's recoil to launch into one target and perform a reversing slash into another with the Dragon Slayer, effectively eliminating two enemies in a single motion.

Madness Enhancement C: The Class Skill that characterizes a Berserker, raising basic parameters and strengthens one's physical abilities in exchange of hindering mental capacities and/or in exchange for their sense of reason.

Personal Skills

Battle Continuation EX: A Skill that allows for the continuation of combat after sustaining mortal wounds and reduces the mortality rate from injuries. This Skill represents the ability to survive and/or the mentality of one who doesn't know when to give up, consisting of one's strength of vitality in under pressure. Guts possesses an indomitable will that enables him to persevere in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. His force of will is so great that he has mutilated his own body in pursuit of his goals, and let himself be injured to create openings and execute counterattacks on opponents. It is his personal determination that drives him forward as one branded, and it significantly contributes to his retention of his humanity.

Giant Beast Hunt A: a Skill that denotes having abundant combat experience against giant enemy lifeforms. Guts's many battles included many demons much greater than him.

Mind's Eye (True) B: A heightened capacity for observation, refined through training, discipline and experience. A danger-avoidance ability that utilizes the intelligence collected up to the current time as the basis in order to predict the opponent’s activity and change the current situation.

Noble Phantasms

Brand of Sacrifice: An unfortunate Noble Phantasm that's more of a hinderance. Guts' brand attracts all manner of evil entities, which he must constantly fend off if no protective measures are taken. When near an immensely powerful demon, such as a member of the God Hand, the brand bleeds profusely and induces crippling pain.

Berserker Armor: Guts's main Noble Phantasm. When worn, the armor suppresses the physiological and subconscious systems of his body which would normally prevent him from exerting force to injure himself. The result is a significant augmentation of the wearer's physicality, increasing strength and speed to previously unimaginable levels. The armor does this by eliminating the distress caused by pain; the wearer can still feel pain as a sensation, but the mind does not interpret the pain as being a problem, allowing for it to simply be ignored. It also invokes a tremendous bloodlust in the wearer, amplifying negative emotions like hate, fear, and anger that enable the wearer to fight harder. The armor also temporarily repairs debilitating injuries in the heat of battle. For instance, a broken arm will be pieced together by the armor injecting thin spines from itself into the broken bones, returning them to their proper places and restoring the limb's functionality.
