Gums, also known as Haguki, was a formidable Dragon-level Mysterious Being and a high-ranking executive member of the Monster Association in the "One Punch Man" series. This creature met its demise at the hands of Fuhrer Ugly.

Appearance

Gums was a large, extremely gluttonous creature with a rotund body. It featured two arms and two legs, but its most notable characteristic was its immense mouth, which lacked any lips. Despite having no ears, Gums could communicate with Gyoro Gyoro, another member of the Monster Association, through unknown means. In the webcomic, Gums had a more humanoid body shape. When it needed more bite force, the muscles in its mouth would increase, giving it a more muscular appearance with visible veins. Personality

Gums was incapable of speech, yet it demonstrated intelligence as it was summoned to meetings. Driven by an insatiable hunger, Gums' main motivation was to consume anything and everything it could. This gluttonous nature led to extreme anger when its meals were interrupted or delayed, as evidenced by its explosive reaction when Pig God saved Tanktop Master from its jaws and when Fuhrer Ugly's punch was redirected into its face by Bang, causing it to spit out Genos. In a fit of rage, Gums even attempted to digest Fuhrer Ugly, its ally in the battle.

Plot

During the Human Monster Saga's Monster Association Arc, Gums played a significant role. Before the battle against the Hero Association, it devoured some monsters. Later, it was called to a meeting with other executive members by Gyoro Gyoro.

As the heroes raided the Monster Association Headquarters, Gums managed to sneak up on and swallow the hero Pig God. However, the fat hero fought his way out of Gums' mouth, leading to a hand-to-hand combat between the two. Tatsumaki briefly shielded Pig God from Gums' jaws with a psychic barrier, but Gums soon bit through it, and the battle resumed. Somehow, Pig God managed to escape Gums after Tatsumaki began lifting the Monster Association base out of the ground.

After Orochi and Psykos' defeat, Gums and other executive members emerged from the rubble. It attempted to devour Pig God and Tanktop Master, who narrowly avoided its jaws. Gums then targeted Tanktop Master, nearly crushing him before being tackled by Pig God. After Fuhrer Ugly severely beat Tanktop Master, Gums swallowed the hero whole.

However, Bang suddenly intervened, ripping a hole through Gums to rescue Tanktop Master. Genos then incinerated Gums' insides, much to the monster's shock. Despite its injuries, Gums quickly healed and bit down on Genos, only to be thwarted by Bang, who redirected one of Fuhrer Ugly's attacks onto Gums. Enraged that Fuhrer Ugly's fist had allowed its prey to escape, Gums retaliated by devouring Fuhrer Ugly. Although it swallowed him whole, Fuhrer Ugly managed to escape its stomach by ripping it in half from inside, ultimately leading to Gums' demise. Later, Gums' corpse was seen being consumed by Pig God.
