   Oripathy is a progressive, terminal disease caused by exposure to raw Originium particles. Infected individuals develop hardened, crystallizing skin that spreads throughout their body, causing organ failure and eventual death. Upon death, the body disintegrates into Originium dust that can infect others, sometimes explosively.

   The disease has a near-100% mortality rate with no known cure, though Rhodes Island develops treatments to slow progression. Contrary to popular belief, Oripathy doesn't enhance Arts abilities - most Infected cannot use Arts, though they can cast without catalysts at the cost of accelerating their condition.

   Infected face severe persecution and ostracism due to exaggerated fears of transmission. Person-to-person spread is actually unlikely, but misinformation fuels discrimination. Some races like Sarkaz are exceptionally vulnerable, while others like Feranmuts are immune.

   The social divide between Infected and non-Infected has created centuries of conflict. Rhodes Island seeks peaceful solutions while radical groups like Reunion pursue violent retribution. Countries like Ursus force Infected into labor camps, while Leithanien practices euthanasia of advanced cases.

2. #2Rhodes Island

   Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc. (R.I.) is a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization dedicated to treating Oripathy and fighting for Infected rights. Operating from a mobile landship, they legally function as a medical company but possess combat capabilities due to widespread discrimination against the Infected.

   Founded from the remnants of Babel after the Sarkaz King Theresa's assassination, Rhodes Island reorganized as a humanitarian organization while maintaining political neutrality. They accept all Infected patients regardless of background, requiring payment through employment or volunteer work if patients cannot afford treatment. All personnel wear infection monitor bracelets to track Oripathy progression.

   Their paramilitary force uses standard Terran equipment and excels at guerrilla tactics rather than conventional warfare. Despite their small military size, they operate globally, resolving Oripathy-related crises and social tensions. Many nations question their supposed neutrality given their inherited authority and resources from Babel.

   Rhodes Island funds operations through the Contingency Contract program, wealthy donors, and business partnerships. They maintain supply networks across Terra and allow personnel freedom of movement when docked, provided it doesn't conflict with organizational interests.

3. #3Ursus Empire

   Keys: Ursus Empire, Ursine, bear race, militarism, expansionism, Infected persecution, mining camps, Northern Tundra, Emperor, Tsar, aristocracy, physical prowess

   The Empire of Ursus is Terra's largest nation, bordering multiple countries and famed for its military might. Previously the Hippogryph Empire ruled by an Elderly race, it was conquered by the Ursi in Terran Year 31, establishing the current Ivanovich dynasty. Ursus is a monarchist empire ruled by an Emperor (Tsar), though power struggles exist between old guard aristocrats and military leaders.

   The empire is notorious for extreme militarism, xenophobia, and brutal treatment of the Infected. Infected face systematic persecution through pogroms and forced labor in Originium mining camps in the Northern Tundra, where they work until death from Oripathy or execution. Political prisoners share this fate.

   Ursus's expansionist policies led to numerous conquests, including victory in the Battle of the Four Emperors and ten invasions of Kazimierz. However, the failed Bloodpeak Campaign against Higashi marked a turning point, followed by the Great Rebellion that weakened the old nobility. The empire's military strain has created economic problems and civil unrest, with the Infected serving as scapegoats for leadership failures.

   The Ursine inhabitants are predominantly bear-like in appearance, known for exceptional physical prowess and strength that contributes to their military reputation.

4. #4Gummy

   Lada, codenamed "Gummy," is an Ursus student from Peterheim Middle School in Chernobog who survived the city's uprising as part of the Ursus Student Self-Governing Group. During the chaos, she and her schoolmates were trapped without food or water, forcing her into desperate survival situations that included killing other students for self-preservation. She escaped alongside four other students and found refuge with Rhodes Island.

   The trauma from Chernobog has left deep psychological scars. Gummy suffers from severe nyctophobia, requiring lights on at all times while sleeping, and must never go hungry as it triggers traumatic memories and dangerous behavioral relapses. Despite this, she maintains remarkable optimism and works energetically to integrate into Rhodes Island culture.

   Gummy is lively, kind, and pure-hearted, always speaking genuinely and seeking to please everyone. She trusts her leader Zima implicitly and actively creates a cheerful atmosphere for her group while helping ease their collective trauma. Her coping mechanism involves staying busy through work and forming connections with others.

   A former Youth Scout competition runner-up, Gummy utilizes her survival training as a Defender Operator while providing combat culinary services. She's passionate about Ursus-style cooking, converting the kitchen into her personal battleground and contributing her vigorous culinary culture to Rhodes Island.
