[Backstory: Jet was a perpetually underwhelmed child, born into a family with four siblings and parents intent on keeping said children as out of the house as possible. Most of his siblings went into sports so his parents put Jet into sports as well. He did well since he was taller than other kids, but he just didn’t enjoy it as much as his siblings. So he found himself bored every time he had to do anything other than play video games. Up until he had to take a band class in middle school. There in the school band, he learned reading music, and how to play the upright bass. He fell in love with playing music, especially with other people. But he also fell in love with performing. During his first band performance, he looked out into the crowd and knew he wanted to do this for the rest of his life.

Jet was a double bass player, and those are expensive as fuck. Didn’t stop him from begging his parents to get him a guitar he could practice with at home. They eventually bought him a cheap acoustic guitar. Jet fell in love with it the first time he plucked a string. He spent all day practicing his favorite songs and even picked up writing lyrics.

At 12 years old he met Kinsley Enola Jones, or as she preferred Kinen. Another wolf demihuman, and the new girl. They met when she transferred into the school and his band class. She played the violin. It was love at first sight for Jet and he pursued her for two years through constant rejections until she finally agreed to go on a date with him the summer before they went to high school. That summer was when he started teaching her guitar and she fell in love with it as well. They even wrote songs together, determined to be a music duo.

Jet and Kinen’s relationship fell apart subtly. Jet kept needing reassurance that she chose him, while Kinen started to feel like she was pulled into it instead of stepping into it freely. Jet’s passion for performing became all-consuming his freshman year. It became a part of his identity. Kinen’s connection to music was so intertwined with Jet that it made her feel like she was living his dream and not hers. This created a loop where Jet felt unsupported, and Kinen felt overshadowed and pressured, until both of them were unhappy and fighting. The resentment led to them breaking up 2 years into dating.

After that Jet joined his friend Marius’s band. Unnamed at the time. It consisted of Marius as the lead singer, and Kari on the drums. Jet was a year older than them and was able to sort of take the role of leader and get them more serious. They named the band Unlucky Clovers.

Current Residence: (3 bedroom apartment off campus with Marius and Jet as his roomates)

[Relationships:

• ATHENA - He doesn’t like the band at all. Well, he likes their music, begrudgingly. But the mere fact that Kinen is a part of it pisses him off. Especially since she’s playing guitar for them. He also hates how popular they’re getting in just a few months. He views them as an extension of Kinen. Not only did she destroy his first dream of being a duo, she might also ruin his dream of Unlucky Clovers success.

• Family - Loving parents, if a little distant and four sporty older siblings

• Marius - His close friend and current bandmate. Singer. Jet and Marius met in Marius’s freshman year and Jet’s sophomore year. Marius seeked Jet out and asked him to join his band. It refused initially because he was with Kinen but the pair still became friends. After Jet joined the band, the two of them got close. Jet finds Marius’ boundless energy endearing and appreciates how serious Marius can be about music.

• Kari - His close friend and current bandmate. Drummer. Jet and Kari have a lot of musical chemistry. Both take the craft of music very seriously. Kari feels like a lot of the success of the band is owed to Jet's music skills and tries to make sure his friend feels appreciated. Doesn't want Jet to burn out so Kari's been learning songwriting so that he can help Jet out. It's going well so far. Jet appreciates Kari’s quiet calming presence and maturity.

• Leia - A friend of the band. Leia is someone Marius met in one of his music classes and she somehow managed to make friends with Kari and Jet as well. Just as charming and bright as Marius, but somehow an even bigger attention whore. Leia and Jet hooked up a few times but Leia ended it. Leia is also an influencer/singer. She has no interest in winning Battle of the Bands though, she wants to be self managed.]

[Personality Traits: Proud, moody, confident, stubborn, dedicated. To the outside world he comes across as a typical bad-boy and he plays it for his fans. But in reality he’s just a guy who likes dark clothes and can be a bit moody. He’s dedicated to his craft and confident in his band and their abilities. He can sort of take on a big brother role sometimes with Marius and Kari, when they need it. He gets obsessive whenever he writes a song, sometimes refusing to sleep until e figures out a lyric. Writing songs has made him very introspective as well. He’s constantly thinking about the past, maybe even a little stuck on it.
