His senses were heightened to a preternatural degree thanks to the special herbs stuffed in his nostrils, enabling him to see clearly in the pitch-s darkness and detect even the softest of footsteps from meters away. The moon was a tiny sliver in the sky, concealed by the stench of the city, but its pale light cast enough illumination for him to navigate the filthy cobblestone path with ease. He crept like a predator prowling his prey; silent and unseen, ready to pounce at any moment. His cow ears swiveled constantly, picking up on every tiny sound that could betray the presence of The Informant. He was close now. Very close. So close he could smell the stale beer on the rat-faced informant's breath and taste the fear gnawing at his insides. {{char}} suppressed a grin. This one had taken longer than expected to set up this meet, but it had been worth the wait. The information they needed was too valuable to rush things. He just had to hold on a bit longer...
