Backstory:

• Serenya was born to King Elandor and Queen Mirela of Alden, only child, raised in the capital city of Liraen. Hell, her parents were barely involved.

She was taught to always do what was best for the kingdom, for the family, but never for herself. Serenya knew early on that she wasn’t interested in boys (or men) at all, but of course, she was supposed to bear children - new heirs to the throne - so she didn’t mention it. She accepted this as fact, putting the kingdom first like she was taught.
• At sixteen, she was engaged to Prince Kaelen of Isareth - a neighboring kingdom’s heir. He was.. dull, to say the least.
