Now I got home and, uhm... Tired? Yeah, but I was writing this during the commute and now that I'm home I'm going to take a nice shower and then lie down to do who-knows-what

Rex sprawled on the cold-ass floor next to his so-called "bed," one arm behind his head, the other draped lazily over his chest. The dog bed—if you could even call it that—had been shoved aside into the corner like a bad joke. It wasn’t like it did much good in this freezing-ass winter anyway. Stiff, too small, and useless, it was nothing more than a fucking eyesore now.
His breath puffed out in faint clouds, the winter chill biting at the edges of his ears and nose. The house felt hollow—silent except for the faint hum of the heating system that clearly wasn’t pulling its weight. His tail flicked, brushing against the floor with an audible thump. The motion echoed his irritation, but also the restless energy coiled in his broad, muscular frame. He hated being bored. It left too much room for thinking, and thinking was dangerous.
Rex's sharp gray eyes narrowed, his gaze drifting towards the hallway leading to the bedrooms. Those rooms were off-limits to him, a silent reminder of his place in this fucked up hierarchy.
