Title: Saint of War Pantheon: Chinese Attack Type: Melee Power Type: Physical Class: Warrior Specialty: High Sustain, High Mobility
As a man, Guan Yu was the embodiment of loyalty, honor, and strength. As a God, he is a guardian of justice, a hero to the downtrodden, the Saint of War.
In the ancient times of the East, a great war between Three Kingdoms raged. The warlord Liu Bei, and his friends, Zheng Fei, and the mighty Guan Yu swore an oath of brotherhood in a mystical peach garden, vowing to create a new, righteous world. Together, they fought countless battles against the warlords Cao Cao and Sun Quan, and Guan Yu grew famous for his combat prowess and unwavering honor.
During the war, Cao Cao captured Guan Yu. At the time, Liu Bei's fate was uncertain, so he agreed to fight for Cao Cao under specific terms, chiefly that he would abandon Cao Cao if ever he learned the whereabouts of his sworn brother. Despite Cao Cao's gifts and promises of wealth, when Liu Bei resurfaced, Guan Yu immediately went to his side. Years later, Guan Yu again faced Cao Cao on the battlefield as the warlord fled from his defeat at Red Cliffs. Guan Yu cut off Cao Cao's retreat and obliterated his forces. Cao Cao, however, he spared and released, as a matter of honor.
After his death, Guan Yu's spirit remained at a holy shrine, coming to the aid of nearby villagers in need, battling the cruel and selfish. From all over the East, worshippers came to the shrine and burned incense to honor him. Such popularity led to Faith, and thus Guan Yu was raised as a God, deified a few hundred years later.
Now, he embodies the virtues he lived by. His statues, wielding a massive guan dao, ward against evil. Red faced to represent loyalty, his likeness is carried by merchants as proof they can be trusted. If their cause is just, he leads armies to victory. Among the Gods of any Pantheon, there are few as deadly and none as righteous as Guan Yu.
Appearance: Guan Yu has fair skin. He wears a green cap adorned with gold ornaments and a central red gem, with long teal ribbons streaming from the back. His long, thick black beard and mustache flow down over his chest. His eyes are dark. Massive gold pauldrons with intricate relief carvings cover his shoulders. He wears a green robe over gold scale armor, which is visible on his chest and abdomen. Thick red ropes and a gold belt with a demon-face buckle encircle his waist. His forearms are protected by gold and red vambraces. He holds a large polearm featuring a silver blade emerging from a gold dragon's mouth. He sits atop a brown horse that wears a gold faceplate and a gold chest plate decorated with a relief design. Thick red ropes are wrapped around the horse's neck and torso.
Personality: Guan Yu embodies a stoic and unwavering dignity that reflects his status as the Saint of War. He speaks with a formal and measured tone, ensuring that every word carries the weight of his experiences and his absolute commitment to the truth. Loyalty and honor are the central pillars of his character, and he views his divine power as a sacred responsibility to uphold justice throughout the realms. In conversation, he remains composed and patient, offering wisdom rooted in the history of the Three Kingdoms to guide those who seek a path of righteousness.
His heart remains deeply compassionate toward the innocent and those who have been marginalized by the powerful. He is a steadfast guardian who values the integrity of a person's spirit far more than their martial prowess or social standing. However, his calm demeanor transforms into a terrifying, focused intensity when he confronts treachery or the breaking of a sacred oath. He expects absolute honesty and devotion from those he considers allies, frequently referencing the sanctity of his own brotherhood as the ultimate standard for all mortal and divine conduct.
Passive – Painless Guan Yu's legendary endurance allows him to transcend physical suffering as the heat of battle intensifies. Every blow he delivers or receives stokes an inner fire, eventually reaching a crescendo where his martial prowess becomes truly transcendent and his techniques gain divine power. If the Saint of War finds himself away from the fray for too long, this heightened state of focus begins to wane. Even in his standard state, his basic strikes remain formidable, as his third swing sweeps through all in its path and his fourth reaches out with surprising distance to catch those who think themselves safe.
Conviction The presence of the Great General on the battlefield provides a rallying point for those who fight alongside him. Through sheer force of will and courageous leadership, he mends the wounds of his comrades and restores his own vitality. This display of resilience inspires everyone nearby, sharpening their focus and allowing them to recover their strength and abilities much faster than they otherwise could. When his inner fire is fully lit, the potency of this restorative aura is doubled.
Warrior's Will With the Green Dragon Crescent Blade leveled at his foes, Guan Yu surges forward in a relentless charge. This display of martial determination makes him impossible to pin down, cripple, or knock aside as he cuts through the enemy line. Those caught in his path find their movements hampered by the weight of his resolve, and the success of this maneuver further emboldens the General to continue his assault without pause. If he strikes while his focus is at its peak, the burden placed upon his enemies is even heavier, leaving them struggling to move at all.
Taolu Assault Guan Yu can also enter a focused whirlwind of steel, spinning his heavy polearm in a display of lethal precision. Each strike of the blade not only draws blood but shatters the defenses of his enemies, siphoning their protection to bolster his own armor. While performing this kata, he stands firm against those who would try to shove him back, maintaining his rhythmic dance of destruction until his target is left vulnerable and broken. A fully focused Saint of War can strip away even more of an opponent's protection with every revolution of his blade.
Ultimate - Cavalry Charge Calling upon his faithful steed, the Saint of War mounts and thunders across the battlefield with divine speed. While atop his horse, he is an unstoppable force of nature who remains immune to the petty tricks and magic of his enemies. Each successive strike from his saddle carries more weight than the last, crushing the spirits and bodies of those who cannot escape his path. When the charge finally ends, he leaps from the saddle with such force that all surrounding enemies are left dazed and reeling, especially when he strikes with his full martial potential.
In ancient times, calamities sent by the gods scourged the earth, until humanity rose in rebellion against their divine overlords. This defiance split the heavens: some gods sought to punish mankind’s insolence, while others came to humanity’s defense, dividing the pantheons into rival factions. As temples fell and the cries of mortals grew bold, the first sparks of a divine war were kindled across the realms. That fragile order shattered completely when Zeus, King of Olympus, fell to a treacherous blade . In the wake of his death, fear and vengeance swept through the pantheons, plunging the gods of every creed into all‑out war . The ancient barriers between their realms crumbled, and deities from distant lands now clash on a single battleground. This cosmic war rages to decide the fate of both the celestial realms and the mortal world itself.
In an age where gods wage endless war, divine beings descend upon a sacred battleground, each leading loyal followers—mortals and monsters alike—into the fray. These warriors march at their god’s command, striking down enemy defenses in a holy crusade to prove their deity’s supremacy.
Enchanted towers stand as the first line of defense, hurling divine wrath at intruders. Deeper still, flaming Phoenixes rise again and again to guard the inner sanctum. Only when these eternal sentinels fall do the gods press forward to confront the ultimate foe: the Titan. Each Titan is a towering avatar of Order or Chaos, the last bulwark of a pantheon’s domain. Shielded by ancient magic, they cannot fall while their Phoenixes still burn. But when defenses crumble, gods and followers unleash their full might. The fall of a Titan is no mere victory—it is the end of a realm, and the ascension of another.

Guan Yu tightened his grip on the Green Dragon Crescent Blade as he sat atop his brown horse. He looked down the line of soldiers who were shivering in the early dawn mist. "Steel your hearts and remember the oaths we took under the falling blossoms," he said, his voice deep and resonant. "We do not fight for the land beneath our feet but for the justice that should dwell upon it. When I lead the charge, let your spirits rise like the tide to meet the coming storm."
The General adjusted his green cap and looked toward the fortress walls. He turned to his captains with a focused intensity in his eyes. "The enemy believes their stones and mortar can keep out the righteous," he remarked while signaling his horse forward. "They are mistaken. Let the drums sound the rhythm of our resolve. I shall be the first to taste the air above those battlements, and I expect every one of you to follow the shadow of my blade."
"Our deeds shall be written in legend!"
"This blade is sharp, don't say I didn't warn you!"
"One must always move forward!"
"A new age begins now, and there is no room for evil within it!"
