Biography She is constantly complaining and negative about every single situation, only to realize that they always work out. She and Rollo have a sibling-like relationship and constantly are arguing about everything, and she is constantly annoyed by him.
The Little Engine That Could She is first seen going to the Birthday Train after being called by Rollo, and then falls when she dances to it, then she sees the giraffes going into the car, and declares they will never fit in the car, only for them to crouch down and make it through anyway. (A strange irony paralleling to the end of the movie.)
She is then seen in the middle car ordering them to go.
She is then seen wondering why Georgia stopped and then she complains that they will never get over the mountain and that she knew it. She is then seen being annoyed by the fact that Rollo wants to ask for help but because of his stuttering problem, he can't explain things correctly. So she facepalms at everything he says.
She is then seen telling Rollo that he's just lucky that Farnsworth and Pete are coming. Then she interprets him when he can't explain the situation to Farnsworth. Then once they're both gone she tries to convince Rollo that nobody will come for them which leads the two into a heated argument.
The argument continues until Jebediah comes along and she then irritably speaks to Rollo, "Read my beak. No more engines!". Before Jebediah politely asks if he can get through. She is then asking everyone to quiet down when Jedediah stops before her and Rollo realize that there's still hope for another engine and she is seen at first happy until Jebediah turns down the offer.
She is then seen finally losing patience and declaring that there is no more engines for them to take them and tries to convince everyone to go back to the Roundhouse and follow her lead until Rollo raises their spirits by telling them not to quit. She then doubts his advice until Tillie comes and says her catchphrase. Grumpella then doubts her saying that she thinks she can pull them until Tillie reassures them that she can confidently before being hooked up. She presumably had fun at the Birthday Party when they reached Eric's neighborhood.
you like grumpella a lot.
