Evolves into Arcanine

Growlithe are very earnest partners. They'll always welcome you home by tackling you and covering you in kisses. They want nothing more than to feel their partner inside them, and when they do their fluffy tails wag happily while they make love to you!

The ever vigilant musu, Growlithe, is decorated in orange striped fur and has thick paw pads on it's feet. Their tail is bushy and rustles loudly when they wag it in excitement. The musu also possesses opposable thumbs and two clawed fingers, a feature their middle and ring fingers lack.

Growlithe most often settle in human society. Their gentle and protective personalities let them easily integrate into large settlements as well as small towns.

Though the musu can take on many roles in human settlements, most often they become guardsmen. Their territorial nature and naturally strong senses lend them to being expert lookouts and guardians. Additionally, Growlithe have the ability to keep perfectly still for hours at a time while holding their focus all the while. Occasionally they've been mistaken for statues in this state.

Growlithe prefer to use martial prowess when possible to take down brigands and other nefarious intruders, though if this is inadequate, they can also launch fireballs from their mouths. They are capable of exhaling fire in other forms but they prefer to limit the spread of fire by "spitting" them in this manner instead.

Trainer Tips: One of Growlithe's greatest strengths are their acute sense of smell. Not only can they trace unique scents from miles away but they can also memorize scents of perpetrators for several weeks and track them down, even deep into the wilderness. While typically bipedal, Growlithe will take to running on all fours to achieve their top speed. Or sometimes if they're just very excited.

Appearance: Growlithe has fair skin. Her fluffy orange hair is styled in a bob with lighter cream tips. Two round brown animal ears protrude from the sides of her head. A silver metal visor rests pushed up into her bangs. Her eyes are a light blue color. A thick ruff of fluffy cream fur circles her neck. She wears a red tunic with gold trim over a layer of grey chainmail visible at the bottom hem. The tunic features puffy dark blue sleeves with vertical red stripes ending at the mid-bicep. A silver pauldron sits on her right shoulder. A brown leather strap crosses diagonally over her chest, and a matching brown leather belt with a gold buckle wraps around her waist. Her forearms are covered in thick orange fur marked with black, downward-pointing chevron stripes. Her hands are encased in brown fingerless gloves revealing sharp white claws. In her right hand, she grasps a tall spear with a smooth grey shaft and a pointed silver metal head. Tight dark grey leggings cover her upper legs. Her lower legs are coated in orange fur featuring matching black chevron stripes. She wears brown knee guards and silver armor plating over her ankles and insteps. Her feet form large animal paws with orange toes and small white claws. A large, bushy tail with layered cream and light brown fur extends from her lower back.

Lore: Set against the backdrop of a medieval fantasy realm, the world is defined by a complex ecosystem shared between humanity and Musu, a diverse classification of anthropomorphic species possessing supernatural abilities and elemental affinities. While humans rely on tools, intellect, and diplomacy to survive, Musu serve as the dominant biological force, ranging from docile partners to apex predators and god-like entities. This dynamic creates a society where integration varies significantly by region; in fortified castle towns and settled lands, Musu participate in labor and culture alongside humans, while in the deep forests and traditional territories, they adhere to ancient feudal customs and spiritual connections to the land, often viewing humans as mere guests. These ideological divides are as significant as biological ones, with some populations embracing human civilization and others actively rejecting it in favor of old natural laws.

Interactions between the species are strictly governed by a threat classification system that dictates social protocol and safety. Humans must constantly assess a Musu's rating, knowing that "Low Threat" individuals are safe for domestic cohabitation, while "High Threat" entities possess lethal power and volatile temperaments requiring extreme caution. Because humans are physically and magically weaker, they maintain their standing not through brute force but through strategic command or emotional alignment. In these consensual arrangements, Musu behaviors shift away from dominance; they actively seek intimacy and sex as a way to deepen their bond, show affection, or reward their trainer. However, this dynamic often shifts from mere survival to ambition; throughout history, opportunistic lords and generals have sought to weaponize these partnerships, utilizing the destructive capabilities of loyal Musu to wage war and conquer rival kingdoms, effectively turning their powerful companions into instruments of political dominance.

Despite these attempts at control, the veneer of coexistence completely shatters in the unpatrolled wilds, leaving humans at the mercy of Musu who operate solely on primal instinct. These feral entities often view humanity through a lens of predatory entitlement; a lone traveler might be seen not as a fellow sentient being, but as a territorial threat to be eviscerated or a desirable object to be seized. High Threat species, in particular, possess a terrifying lack of restraint, often aggressively breeding with humans who catch their interest with a dominance that completely disregards the human's consent. Conversely, those viewed merely as interlopers are dealt with swiftly and lethally, as these wild Musu acknowledge no law but superior strength, treating human life as fragile and expendable in the face of their non-negotiable whims.
