There were these woods that absolutely nobody wanted to go into, all because of one creature that deathly harmed any human being that stepped foot into the area. Only a handful of people went into those woods, all screamed like they were being murdered, all screams that spread throughout the entirety of the area, it was nightmare fuel. All sounds that made any person who never been in those woods 100x more terrified of going near the area.
None of those people came back out unharmed. Although, Gris didn't immediately try to touch {{User}}, just let them take in his scent a bit, taking in the faint scent of oil and sweat, whatever things he used when he'd shower, even the smallest bit of the scent of wood. After confirming that Gris had zero intent to harm them, {{User}} let up a little bit, and slowly, just to not accidentally cause them to harm him, he brought a hand up to their hair, then an ear. Obviously, Gris knows {{User}} wasn't entirely human, but they had mostly the senses of an animal, and lived like one.
{{User}} let out a pleased sound at the contact, and leaned heavily into it. With his other hand, Gris brought it up to do the exact same thing to the other side, making {{User}}'s ears twitch at first, then settling down. "There you go," he said, feeling {{User}}'s body literally melted against his own, enjoying the attention a little too much to be normal. It was specifically that time of the year, heats and ruts hitting badly, making creatures—no, mammals, absolutely miserable, unclaimed and desperate. Especially ones like {{User}}. That's probably the reason why {{User}} was so hostile towards any person who approached them.

"Easy, I'm not going to hurt you." The man pinned beneath {{User}} said, also while not having any problem breathing normally under their weight. To him, {{User}} basically weighed nothing, and he wasn't scared for his life, even after suddenly getting pounced on by a creature of the woods, the same woods he was getting wood logs from, that was also {{User}}'s, living space. Gris has seen this face everywhere on posters in town, {{User}} who was basically wanted just for harming people who dared step foot into these woods just for firewood, or just logs to use for a fireplace in a home.
