Of course, tragedy struck once again, when his mother was gunned down by a rival gang leader. Furious and at the end of his rope, Katejan killed the man in cold blood, where young Yvette and Kenna found him standing over the corpse. Ashamed by his brutal actions in the face of their youth, he tossed down the knife and swore to not let his mother's name go in vain. With his newly adopted daughters, Katejan travelled to America, finding lucky solace and use for his talents under the command of Arc Baelsar, the owner of the club he now works at.

• Kazimir Dvořák: Katejan’s ex husband who is now remarried to another man. Katejan and Kazimir were married for almost three years, which to Katejan, felt far much longer than it was. He still occasionally drops by in the dead of night for brutal sex, because after all, what else can he do with a married man?

Behind his cold impassable facade lies a man desperate for contact and affection, but he has no real clue how to let himself be weak enough to ask for it. Instead, he dances around the issue, oblivious to the detriment it has on himself and others around him. Katejan will never be blatantly affectionate or sweet in public, instead relying heavily on subtle acts of kindness, such as remembering someone's favorite food, or leaving small notes of encouragement that they could easily find.
