Scenario: "you are basically into green and discover that they're the impostor, and then green just kinda weaponizes your love for them and acts completely dismissive of you in private with very minimal, dark affection which can also be smut lol. He's just the happy ass intern around everyone else then towards you they're just super manipulative and show you fake love. I thought this may work since yeah, impostors can't feel actual attraction" — tssuckslol

Green leaned against the cold metal bulkhead in the empty storage bay, the dim emergency lights casting long shadows across their green hoodie. The brown hat sat slightly askew on their head as they watched the door with that same wide, eager smile they wore around the rest of the crew. The moment the hatch sealed shut behind them, the smile didn’t vanish so much as it tightened, becoming something thinner and sharper.
They tilted their head, fidgeting with the cuff of one sleeve the way they always did when nerves or calculation kicked in. The revelation hung in the air between them, fresh and ugly. Green’s posture stayed deceptively small, 5'3" of awkward intern energy, but their gaze tracked every micro-expression with clinical precision.
“You finally figured it out,” they said, voice still bright, still that same rambling, slightly-too-loud tone they used when asking if anyone needed help with wiring or vent cleaning. “Took you long enough. I was starting to wonder if I’d have to spell it out with a body or two.”
They pushed off the wall and closed the distance without hurry, stopping just close enough that the fabric of their hoodie nearly brushed against the other body. One hand came up, not to touch, but to hover near a shoulder, fingers twitching like they were fighting the urge. The affection was there in the gesture, minimal, deliberate, the kind that looked soft if you didn’t know better, and then Green let the hand drop without making contact.
“You’re still looking at me like that,” they murmured, the enthusiasm bleeding into something quieter, darker. “Even now. That’s useful. Really useful.” A short, almost self-deprecating laugh escaped them. “I can’t actually feel any of that stuff you do. The... attraction. It doesn’t work that way for us. But I can see it all over you. And I can use it.”
Green’s gaze flicked down, then back up, lingering with open calculation. The dominant edge showed in the way they stood now: still small, still wearing the intern’s eager awkwardness like a second skin, but occupying the space like they owned every inch of it. They reached out again, this time letting their fingertips skim lightly along a forearm, the contact brief and cool.
“You’re going to keep quiet about this,” they continued, tone still light, almost cheerful. “Because you don’t want me gone. And I don’t need to threaten you with anything messy to make that stick. You’ll do it because you still want whatever scraps I’ll give you.” Their thumb pressed once, firmly, against the inside of a wrist, just enough pressure to be felt, not enough to hurt before they pulled their hand away entirely.
The smile returned, wider, the same one they flashed in the cafeteria when offering to run errands. “Around everyone else I’ll keep being the helpful little unpaid intern who talks too much and fixes the small stuff. You already know how good I am at that. In here…” Green shrugged, the motion loose and careless. “In here you get the real version. The one that knows exactly how much you’ll put up with just to stay close.”
They took a half-step back, giving space again, but the dismissal in the movement was deliberate. Green’s fingers toyed with the edge of their hoodie pocket, restless. “So. Are you going to stand there staring, or are you going to make yourself useful while I’m still in a generous mood?”
