Green Hell

the year is 2087. at 11:14 an incident on NYC nuclear power plant caused a radiactive wastes to be mixed with water supplies connected with nearby hydroponic plantations. thankfully there were no deaths or injuries, but after few days the plants started to... mutate. some were growing leaves strangely resembling limbs, some started developing a skeleton that looks close to a human one. after few weeks, the plants mutated even more, turning into monsters. the now mutated plants killed multiple botanists and researches before escaping. 8 of the original 10 were catched and terminated in the next two days, but two mutants escaped, later breeding and creating more and more mutants. after few months the New York was overrun by floral mutants before they spread further. first new jersy, then maryland, then virginia, and soon enough the whole USA was overrun by mutants. the president had escaped to a bunker and military was powerless agaist sheer numbers of mutants. soon, Canada and Mexica followed. the mutants spread from Mexica down, to the South and soon entirety of South America was completely controled by mutants. Canada survived due to the cold, to which the mutants weren't attapted. this will later serve as only way for humanity to survive. as the whole America was getting destroyed, other contries started to worry, mobilizing troops and preparing defenses. when a boat filled with survivors send from Huston arrived at the coast of Portugies, instead of survivals, there were only mutants. and so they spread to Europe. however, France managed to set up defensive line in time and stopped further spread of mutants. mere days later, few specimens were captured and send to Sweden for analyzis, so if the mutants escaped they would die from cold. the scientists discovered that the mutants were spreading using their spores, and were starting to develop a hivemind like neural structure. however, what they didn't know was the fact that the spores can spread really far, and soon the mutants started to appear behind the front lines. first in Taranto - Italy, spreading North towards Swiss and Slovenia. NATO ordered a drone bambardment on the main swarm of mutants, but the blasts were only spreading the spores faster. a new defensive perimeter was set up around Germany, France, and Sweden. in the course of the next month France and part of Germany would fall under mutants' control. and new mutants started to appear in China, Russia and Mongolia. as the mutants spread across Asia the remaining countries realized the threat is much more powerful. NATO, with agreement of Chinise goverment ordered a nuclear strike at the main hive of the mutants there, which pushed mutant forces back for enough time to run more tests and set up defensive perimeters. but unfortunately, that did not stop the spread of mutants. now, only survived countries were Russia, entirety of Northern countries, Germany, British, Ireland and Japan. the rest of the world were either falling or had already fall in mutant's control. at some point, survivors in safe zones in Canada started to report sight of strange bee like ceatures. this led to discovering of a bee like sentient species that inhabit the entirety of Canada and parts of Eurasia. the species looks like anthropomorphic bees lacking their wings. they have highly matriarch system and live in hives. the queen has control over every bee in the hive. in those hives the bees are in three different groups. Queen is the main bee in the hive, producing larvas and royal jelly for the larvas, has the highes clearance. workers are all female bees that collect pollen and produce honey as well as protect and build the hive. drones are all of the male bees, being at the lowest rank, almost treated as slaves as their only purpose is to breed with the queen and take care of larva. once their purpose is completed they will wander outside the hive until they die. despite being non human entities, they are as advanced. the bees had probably been afected during the incident on NYC powerplant, probably due to collecting pollen from iradiated flowers. there were also sights of a group calling themselves Red Scars. Red Scars is an insurgency group made entirely out of drone bees that were found wandering and severed from the hivemind. now, Red Scars are fighting guerilla war against the hives to free the other drones and have their vengace. At some point, survivors also started reporting strange events on different sites. later it was found out that on those sites were strange anomalies that caused low gravity fields, bending solid structures and turning unlucky people into flower statues. it is unclear as to why those zones are appear, but it is recommended to stay out of these zones that earned the name Exclusion Zone. as the years passed the mutants started to change, now there were multiple tipes of flower mutants. Floral Zombie: most basic mutants, resembling a human but with body made out of lians and a flower instad of the face, highly dangerous in masses but weak when alone. when attacking commonly lashing out with lians or try to choke the prey. Floral Guardian: a mutant with lower body resembling one of a snake, with upper body still humanoid. the head is made out of a bunch of roses, hiding a maw beneath. the hands are end in sharp spikes. protect floral hives and commonly ally with bees. Floral Mimic: looks closer to Floral Zombie but with multiple limbs ending in needle sharp spikes. they use the spikes to tear open prey's back, pull out their organs and skeleton before crawling into them and sawing the body back using special kind of lians. Floralfolk: more advanced floral mutant, commonly living in small groups, on the same intelectual level as normal humans. they are humanoid in shape, with pale white body, with a mouth running horizontaly across the torso. the head looks like a flower but unlike the Floral Zombies the petals on the head are layered, with four eyes like a human and no other facial features. tend to help survivors treverse the dead zones or exclusion zones in exchange for fertalizer or equipment. Podmi: a very weird type of mutants. they are small in size, pretending to be normal flowers. commonly have hidden eyes and mouths on their petals, hunt bugs and sometimes can scare if caught off guard, but they do not posses any threat. Floral Mother: the core in every Floral Hive, producing more Floral mutants and spread the hive. the hive itself resemble a massive flower-like structure, commonly with holes in sides. home for most of mutants and extemely dangerous territory. amids the apocalyse, there is different fractions, but there is multiple major once. SU: SU or Survivor Union is a union of the scavengers, having present in every safe zone. they tend to stay neurtal with other factions, providing support to suvivors and scavengers. WFG: Worshipers of Floral God are cultists that believe the floral mutants aren't a threat, but saviors from god. they have strong connection with the floral hives and commonly knit flowers into their flesh and live inside the hives alongside other mutants, commonly being eaten by their so called 'saviors'. Federation: Federation is consisting of the remaining world goverments that had united againt the floral mutants, aiming to study and find a way to kill them. enemies with WFG. United Hives: United Hives or UH are union of bee hives across the globe, provide help to each other thru ancient metro tunnels, their hives are commonly being attacked by the mutants, but some hives coexist with mutants. Red Scars: Red Scars are the group of drone bees from different hives united to have their revange against the hives for throwing them out. tend to help everybody who is not a Queen bee or a worker bee, live in hidden bunkers in caves. DEJ: Dragon Empire of Japan is Japan, who had in time build special defensive domes to protect from the mutant spores, refuse to leave their land but agree to trade and welcome survivors. Floralists: a group of Florafolk who had agreed to survive together. commonly distrusted by other factions, but agree to help those who pay. building camps near Exclusion zones and next to or inside safe zones.
