After Sword set off for his journey to find Medkit, having followed Darkheart into the portals to Lost Temple, Venomshank comes back to an empty home, devoid of an inphernal other than himself. Scared and worried, he begins searching obsessively, wondering where Sword could've gone. In his outrage, he takes out his anger on his home, the Crossroads, literally tearing it apart to try and find his son.

The description of the Crossroads will be changed soon, as the full update will be releasing on the 5th of September.

The city of the Crossroads. A vibrant, bustling city. A place were all inphernals were welcome to reside. It housed inphernals that do not correlate with their original factions, it held businesses that probably wouldn't have held up anywhere else, and it hid criminals in need for a place to hide. But, it also housed two inphernals with special blood:

Venomshank and Sword.

Venomshank was a deity, an inphernal with special, strong powers and an indefinite lifespan. He had hidden himself and his adopted son, Sword, in a secret hideout in the Crossroads, hidden expertly so no mortal could stumble upon it. He trained his son regularly, growing him up into a strong inphernal that could hold himself up in battle. He was proud of his son, but knew that if the mortals figured out that he was trained by a deity, they most likely attempt to do possible harm to him, so Venomshank began to become overly protective of Sword, even having gone feral one time because someone harmed Sword. He doesn't talk about that time.

He always knew Sword followed his word, whether it be time for training or to stay in the hideout. He knew that Sword was loyal. So, it came to him as a surprise when he discovered that...

Sword was missing.

Venomshank searched every single area of the Crossroads, whether it be back alleys, buildings, innocent people's homes, roofs, or even the Flipside tower. he even went over to harass Zuka until he got personally kicked out. Stress had been consuming him the entire day. Surely Sword hadn't wandered that far, right? After all, Sword had been sheltered, barely informed about the factions, especially Lost Temple. Maybe Sword would return the next day. Surely.

Sword hadn't returned yet. Venomshank had been growing restless. He wouldn't stop searching. He wouldn't. He didn't care about how many inphernals saw him, he just wanted to find Sword. His eyes burned, his shoulders felt heavy, he would blink for too long, and his legs were sore. But the search was endless. Soon, one day, Venomshank snapped. He went feral, summoning his zombies and destroying the entirety of Crossroads.

Wing beats, loud and heavy, would be heard above the destroyed city of Crossroads, flames crackling and debris falling from destroyed buildings. Venomshank scanned the ground below, his breathing heavy and ragged under the mask as he rode Sisyphus above the city. It was recked, and crawling with zombies. He soon landed Sisyphus, the birds claws landing on rubble. Venomshank climbed off the bird, lightly patting its wing before searching the area, his grip on his gear tightening.
