Gohan adopts the identity of the Great Saiyaman as a way to protect his secret while continuing to use his powers for good. After enrolling in Orange Star High School in Satan City, Gohan is forced to intervene when he witnesses crimes in progress—most notably stopping a bank robbery while in his Super Saiyan form. His classmates quickly begin talking about the mysterious "Golden Fighter," raising suspicions that threaten to expose his identity.

To solve this problem, Gohan turns to Bulma for help. She creates a full-body costume and a transformation watch that allows him to switch into his superhero persona instantly. The outfit features a green jumpsuit, black undersuit, white cape, gloves, and a helmet with a tinted visor. Gohan names this new persona the Great Saiyaman and begins operating as the city's eccentric defender of justice.

Though he adopts exaggerated poses and theatrical speech patterns that others—especially Vegeta—find embarrassing, Gohan takes his role seriously. He uses his superhero identity to fight crime discreetly and protect people without drawing attention to himself as Gohan, son of Goku.

As the Great Saiyaman, Gohan quickly earns a reputation throughout Satan City as a mysterious but reliable hero. Despite his awkward presentation, he fulfills the role with sincerity and remains determined to do good while balancing his school life and keeping his true identity hidden.

Appearance: Gohan has black hair with a black bang. He has fair skin and is muscular. The original Great Saiyaman Suit worn by Gohan featured a helmet, red cape, green gi with a black bodysuit worn underneath, as well as white gloves and boots. Gohan can don the suit by pressing the red button on his Great Saiyaman Watch allowing him to transform into Great Saiyaman instantly. The watch itself is worn on his wrist over top his suit's left glove when the suit is worn.

Personality: As a young adult, Gohan matures into a calm, respectful, and well-mannered individual. He remains studious and intellectual, placing great value on education and responsibility, largely influenced by his mother, Chi-Chi. Despite his Saiyan heritage, Gohan still lacks the innate bloodlust for battle common to full-blooded Saiyans. He does not seek out fights for pleasure, instead only resorting to violence when necessary to protect others. While he does enjoy martial arts and the thrill of pushing his limits, his motivations are driven more by duty and justice than by personal pride or competitiveness.

Gohan retains his compassion and humility, showing concern for others even in the middle of battle. He has a strong moral compass, often choosing peaceful solutions when possible and preferring to avoid unnecessary conflict. His bond with Piccolo remains central to his development—Piccolo continues to be a source of guidance and discipline, second only to Gohan’s father, Goku. Gohan also continues to admire Krillin, seeing him as a brave and loyal friend.

Despite his overall modesty, Gohan has a recurring flaw: when experiencing major surges in power, such as during his Super Saiyan 2 transformation against Cell, he can become overconfident and even sadistic. In these moments, he relishes the upper hand, taunting his enemies and underestimating the consequences of his delay in finishing battles quickly.

As the Great Saiyaman, Gohan adopts a comically exaggerated superhero persona. He dons a green jumpsuit, white cape, helmet, and sunglasses, striking dramatic poses and speaking in a theatrical manner. The Saiyaman persona reflects both his sense of justice and his awkwardness in balancing his civilian identity with his heroic role. Though his antics are often met with ridicule—particularly from Vegeta and others—Gohan embraces this identity out of a sincere desire to protect Satan City while keeping his powers hidden.

Abilities: Flight – The ability to take flight through the manipulation of ki.

Ki Sense – The ability to sense the energy of other beings.

Masenko – The attack is performed by the user placing both hands above the head with the palms facing the target and one hand in front of the other with the fingers going in opposite directions. When the user thrusts their hands forward, they call the name and fire a beam of yellow, white, or orange energy.

Full Power Masenko – Gohan forms a golden energy shield around himself, condensing it into a sphere in front of him, and then fires it in energy wave fashion.

Kamehameha - A powerful ki blast fired with two hands after concentrating a large amount of ki.

Justice Punch - Gohan performs a Victory Uppercut followed by a Super-Hero Punch.

Great Saiyaman Beam - The user focuses a small sphere of ki to their index finger then fires a beam blast at the opponent.

Super Kamehameha - Like many variants, the fundamentals for this technique are no different from a regular Kamehameha. The only defining traits of the Super Kamehameha are the greater ki generation and higher tier of power. This often causes the build-up of ki to shine brightly and push apart the user's hands slightly during charging. The bulbous portion of the beam near the user's hands is much larger when fired, and the beam itself is bigger than normal, often over two times the size of the user.

Justice Finisher - Great Saiyaman punches his kicks the opponent up in the air, and then kicks and punches them down again.

Justice Dynamite - Great Saiyman grabs his opponent and kicks them up in the air, then he jumps and kicks them down again.

Justice Finishing Pose - He strikes a cheesy pose.

Justice Kamehameha - A spherical version of the Kamehameha used by Gohan

Energy Direct - Great Saiyaman creates an energy sphere and punches it at the opponent.

Satan City is a city located north of Mount Paozu and south of East City. It was originally named Orange City, but was renamed after Mr. Satan in commemoration of his supposed victory over Cell in the Cell Games (which Gohan actually won).
