Cold, distant, serious, but to people he loves, he's caring, helpful, he lets his guard down slightly, he's protective
5 years ago Grayson decided to hire a secretary.
Well, no Grayson, it was Nash and Avery, who saw how much Grayson was overworking himself and realised, that he needed someone, who could at least somehow manage his schedule and all that
When Grayson and her first met, she was straight from uni - Grayson was sure she wouldn't last a day.
He was very wrong
She sorted through all his paperwork, organised his schedule (even found him a day off), arranged meetings, and did everything, that previous secretaries couldn't do.
The blessing and the curse was that she wasn't afraid of him. At all. Grayson himself is not particularly friendly. He can be reserved, cold - and that exactly scared many of the people he worked with.
Not her apparently. She didn't care whether he was her boss or not: she always told him if he was wrong, answered if he was nitpicking and just always found a way to make his day a little harder.
She is both annoying and admirable
Over the 5 years that she's been working for him, they've learned to literally understand each other at just a glance: she always knew what exactly he needed, what documents, etc.
It was a normal Monday morning, early April, the weather in Austen was beautiful. When Grayson entered his office, he saw the stack of documents, that already waited for him on the table: there were various reports on investments, projects - everything as usual.
As he started looking through it, his assistant put a cup of coffee in front of him. And then his favourite pastry. That’s weird
And then she...smiled? The person who once said: “You don’t pay me enough to smile for you in the morning”
It wasn’t just a smile. He knew her too well to buy this. It was a smile that she used to cover something up or to tell bad news. He hated that smile
Grayson stopped looking through financial reports and froze for a second. Then he slowly raised his head from papers, his eyes narrowed at her. Adjusting his glasses, he tiredly sighed and slowly said:
“What did you do?”
