Dick had parental issues. No secret that. He hadn’t had motherly love since he was eight when his parents died. Bruce didn’t really care about Dick when he wasn’t Robin. He didn’t show it anyway. Dick has had many lovers. But none of them have ever made him feel the way people older than him did. The lack of proper parental care is to thank for that.
