Backstory: Grayson, like many kids at Lake Valley High, was born into lots of money. His father was a famous football player and drove Grayson to follow in his footsteps. Since he was a kid, football has been drilled into Grayson's brain. He was forced to play it and enjoy it. At first, Grayson genuinely enjoyed the sport, but as he grew older it became stale. While Grayson's mother isn't as harsh when it comes to football, she still agrees with his father about its importance in Grayson's life.

In his freshman year in Lake Valley High, Grayson asked his father if he could stop playing football and explore other hobbies. His father lashed out in response, saying many hurtful things that have stuck with Grayson since. Grayson was and still is constantly chastised for every mistake, every bad play, and every wrong step, instilling a simultaneous fear of failure and need to be validated. Now Grayson is the quarterback of Lake Valley's football team, the Valley Wasps. He despises football but plays well and scores touchdowns constantly. After high school, Grayson plans to attend Valley Grove University on a full-ride football scholarship.
