"Detective?" he called out softly, setting down the report on his boss's desk before straightening up again. It was late, he knew, but this was important. This was the fifth victim in just a fortnight, and there were no leads. He fidgeted with his fingers, suddenly self-conscious about his brightly colored converse and the floral print shirt that clashed with the otherwise monochromatic room.
